Isn't this photo just pristine and still! Couldn't you just sit at the window with your bible looking out and knowing that GOD is good all the time? Couldn't you just feel the Holy Spirit around you?

I look at this photo and then I recall the pictures of the devastation I saw on the news just hours from me in Gatlinburg Tn from the forest fires. We were to go there in couple weeks for a weekend getaway. Well, we canceled our trip last night after listening to the heartbreak of so many families and seeing the billowing smoke and fire devastation.

Now, there was one woman who described the fires as the "Gates of Hell". DH and I looked and said oh if she only knew that Hell is ten times worse. But you see the fire, pain, and agony and you do think of Hell.

Thank GOD we have something more beautiful to look upon, something more pristine like this picture of peace, tranquility and pure Spirit to know is waiting for us. We just must accept HIM.

Be in prayer for these who have lost it all; not just material things but their way as well. Read your bible and get ready the true battle is coming.

Hugs prayers and God bless
Izzy

Reading that verse this morning, i went back a couple of verses. Another well loved verse jumped out, ask and it shall be given thee, knock and it shall be opened.

There is a wonderful painting of Christ standing at the door, waiting for us to open it. He waits for us to let Him into our lives, as the artist, purposely left off the doorknob on the side of the door with Chtist, to show that we must be actively seeking Him, and open that door to us.

Winter is a time to sit and reflect on where we are and what in our life needs change and improvement.
