SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Nov 22

Good Morning,
This morning is my brother's memorial service at our church and then on to their house for a gathering of family and close friends in his machine shop or outside in the rain. Not sure if having a bonfire will be too helpful. Yesterday my sis and I made huge salads all day long. We were relieved of wood duty. Yay! But our men went. They say only two more days and that should be finished. So maybe tomorrow will be one of those days. Maybe not, with TG prep, cleaning to do.
IRISH - sorry I mixed up the Dirty Dancing locations yesterday with you and Becca's. gotta remember, I've been reading these posts at 0400. Yawn. . . . So happy Terry will be there for TG! you sound like you were cleaning everything that moved yesterday and everything that didn't! And Jim got caught in the line-up! lol!
BECCA - the firefighters are angels, aren't they. Even on a local basis, I just want to hug them all. I'm so sorry to hear that your DB has moved to Hospice. I wish I were there and could help you get to go see him. Would any family member be willing to come stay with your DH so you could go visit? Saying prayers for you all. Maybe my brother will be able to take your brother's hand when the time comes and help him cross over. Special hugs to you, my friend.
TINA - Aha!!! I know this one!! I know what pasole is and I've even made it!! I have an actual recipe in my recipe box! Basically, it's pork and hominy soup, right?
JANA - our cats have a warm cat house, too. It's 2200 square feet, split level, 4 bedroom . . . . . lol!! I love hearing about your mountains. Question: Were you originally from UT and then moved to CA and then back to UT? I know you told us back when you were getting ready to move, but I can't recall now.
CHICKIE - glad you got an extra day! And glad you've got Boomer on the high priority list. He's a sweetie and needs lots of TLC and treats. He told me so. ;o)
VELDA - will you do your quilting in your fiver or take it to the community room at your RV park?
Well, today will be funeral food - croissant sandwiches, veggie tray, potato, caprese pasta, and watergate salads. Cookies, coffee, pop, and beer. and if any is left, I suspect that's what our supper will be, too. Either that or pizza,
I'm wondering what to wear today - I wanted to wear my black knit tulip skirt with boots and a sweater. Jim always took note when I wore skirts and told me how much he liked me in them. However, going directly to the outside gathering afterwards in rainy weather, kind of muddy, definitely chilly brings flannel lined jeans and raincoats to mind. So I've been perusing my closet. I think my black jeans will win out. I'll wear the skirt for TG instead.
Tomorrow - on to Thanksgiving preparations!!
