Are you pleasing the LORD with your words and meditation?
You know sometimes we say things and wish we could rewind and stop our tongues from being so loose. But, one thing I have learned over many years is that you should always walk away and give it some thought before you answer too quickly. Sometimes what you want to say is not what that person needs at that very moment even if it is the truth.
Your time with the LORD: is it quick and fly by night or do you really sit and indulge in his words. Savoring each one like a fine piece of chocolate;) Well, I will be honest lately, I have been fly by night type of reader. I am so overtaken by other things that I am not giving the LORD my all lately. I pondered it this morning and thought I need to make some drastic changes to how I attack the day. First and foremost my time in the scriptures. YES, I too have fallen and slacked in my daily readings. Its ok as long as we don't make it a habit. Because the longer you do this behavior the apter you will be to stop reading altogether. SOOOO I am revamping how, when and what I read.
Have you looked at yourself lately and your daily devotional time with the LORD. I didn't like what I saw and am ready to change it back to who I know I am:)
Hugs Prayers and God bless
Izzy

Izzy This is a verse I learned as a child. It has much food for thought in it.Meat as it is called in scriptures. We do need to check how we are using our time with the Lord.I did this quite a long time ago about my reading. If it's isn't meaningful or will make me grow Spiritually I don't read it.It makes a difference.May we all spend more time in Gods word & think on the things God has for us.Becca

Yes, we must stop and feast on the scriptures, not nibble. When we live our religion, it is a lifestyle, not just a Sunday morning. There is so much to learn in the scriptures, that every time i read, i see something i had not seen or realized before. What a joy that is.

I confess, that lately, I have been a "fly by". I like to spend lots of time before sleep to cover my prayer list, but so sad that some mornings I awake and realize that I dropped off to sleep before I finished. Then I take a moment to say a prayer "please forgive me" and enter my plea for prayers for my friends and relatives that I may have missed.
I should not let my being tired get in the way of my prayer time. I will try to do better and get back to reading my scriptures each morning.
Thanks Izzy
I appreciate you so much.
