SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Nov 11th
Posted: Fri Nov 11, 2016 2:47 am
It IS Friday, isn't it? I've kind of lost track!
The last day or tow Jim has been agitated, which is a sign that the end might be near. For his sake, I pray it's soon. He can't speak enough to understand, and I can see that frustrates him. He can't hear or see well, either. I just sat next to him with my hand resting lightly on his arm yesterday for the better part of an hour, speaking softly of anything that came to mind. Human touch can be very comforting. We did get a bit of a half-smile from him once or twice
So - not many split pea soup takers in our bunch! Even our "lurkers" had to weigh in on that! haha!! More for me!
BECCA - hoping they catch that arsonist soon. I think arsonists should also face attempted murder charges as well as all the other charges because people could so easily die as a result of their terrible crimes.
MARY Q - Welcome! OK, so no split pea soup for you. And knowing your stance on veggies, I'm guessing veggie soup isn't on your list of hits either. More like your hit list! lol!
CHICKIE - Your DH is the only man I've ever met who doesn't like brown gravy. Especially since he's such carnivore! I always thought men considered most foods as merely carrying agents for the gravy! lol!
LOIS - my hubby told me when we got married that he didn't really care much for pea soup, but since it's my favorite I made it one time and he had an experimental bowl. And he loved it! I don't know if I make it differently than his mom or if his tastes changed.
JANA - I bet Crenda learned early on about that soup! I think pizza will be making an appearance at our house pretty soon, too.
TINA - I can never tell the difference between an enchilada and a burrito. My sis, who used to wait tables in a Mexican restaurant said it's mostly the sauce. What do you say?
That being said, tonite we plan to go to the Mexican restaurant for Happy Hour Natchos. My sis and BIL planned it. It will be nice not to have to cook.
What's going on your table tonite?
