SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Nov 8th

Good morning!
having a nice, dry, 65* day today! The rains will be back tomorrow. sure would love to share them with Becca!
IRISH - I never thought of 'germs' per se, but I do have a designated toothbrush that I clean my rings with periodically. I might step up the pace . . Can you lock the door going from house to garage? Or just let Jim go for his walks, but walk with him? Though, how is your foot? Maybe walking isn't your best thing right now.
CHICKIE - I sure hope the gizmo works for you. I think our heron is only a visitor because there is no sign of a nest, or 'rookery'. Is a rookery the same thing as a nest?
BECCA - I am SOOO sorry about your dental appointment. I've had three crowns pried off in pieces and it isn't as much fun as one might think. I really hope this puts an end to your dental woes.
JANA - I sure hope this will fix Stu's hand. It's been so long now since his injury . . The good news is that he'll be home for Thanksgiving and hopefully for Christmas?
I haven't seen Jim since yesterday morning. His wife asked to be left alone with him so my sis and I honored her wishes. She doesn't call with updates so we'll go over again today. He seemed weaker yesterday.
My sis and I spent a long time in the Christmas Shop here. I got a new ornament for everyone in our family (kids and DGK's). I stole Judi's idea of giving an ornament to everyone and a gift card (or $$) Shopping done! then we went to Goodwill. I found a nightie with sewing machines all over it! so cute! also, a needlepoint frame with multiple length crossbars, and one set is large enough for my next big cross-stitch project! A $60 (at least!) frame set for only $6. This solved a big problem for me because I was going to have to either go buy the longer bars or else work without a frame - not a good option for a big project like this (Old world Santa and reindeer).
supper tonite will be baked chicken and a potato or rice. and salad. With sis and BIL staying with us, dinner planning - and cooking - has become a bigger issue than it usually is when it's just Bill and me. So is clean-up. Not sure why, since we three girls were all raised by the same mother, but neither of my sisters are much of 'helpers'. I did assign my sis a salad last night, the first thing she has done since they arrived. My other sister (already went home) simply sits and waits to be waited on. I love being a hostess, but after the first week of this, it gets old. Maybe I'm just getting old! and cranky!
I hope your supper doesn't make YOU cranky tonite!
