Good Morning,

My Autumn flies in this morning! I've got to type fast, shower, eat, and run to the airport. I hate the reason she is here, but I'm so anxious to see her!

CHICKIE - I bet your Hooligans love their daily visit with Ava. Almost as much as you do! I love studying prehistoric animal life. My dad plowed up some fossilized sea shells in his cornfield when I was a kid. So unless other animals carted them a ways, we figured his cornfield was once the bottom of salt water.

IRISH - wow! That was some dream! Mirrors on the ceiling and a waving bed? I am narrowing my eyes here and asking, "Have you been in my bedroom??" lol! We do have one whole mirrored wall (it was there when I bought the house! Honest!) and at one time I did have a bed with waves. But we sold the waterbed and bought the one we have now. So in a way, you were sort of right on!

BECCA - what sort of couch are you looking at? Full size? love seat? hide-a-bed? Color? I really don't like furniture shopping. Or car shopping. but I love it when it's done!

TINA - what's going on with you? Hope you're not sick again! Any plans to work on your parents' property this weekend?

The chicken alfredo last night at my DD's was awesome! My DGS did some of the cooking. We took asparagus and there was Caesar salad and garlic bread. Oh my yum! and while there we watched the last game of the World Series. It was the first game I've watched all year, and I found myself rooting for the Indians. I was the only one. But it didn't matter who you were rooting for, it was one of the best games ever! 10th-inning of the 7th game of the world series, high score (for baseball) with tying run on - gotta admit, that was a good game!

Tonite, our friend, Oona, the retired chef, is making a ham dinner for our entire family. Her food is wonderful. Plus again, no cooking. Not a bad deal for me because neither of my sisters are ones to help with dinner or dishes, so making big meals every night can get a little old. I'm loving have a few nights off.

So what's for supper at your house?

Good morning from a very soggy, dreary, Sw. Pa....I guess we're now into Fall, darn...Even the prettiness is mostly gone and it's just drab!.....

Mary, I can imagine how you're feeling but having your daughter with you will be great.....Isn't that funny about your mirrors and bed...I know my dreams are weird but gee whiz.....

Becca, I too hate to furniture shop, just wish someone else would take care of it and the room be done....When we got our last sofa, I had my sister and Kathy with me and I made Kathy lay on the one in the store to make sure it was comfy...And I also wanted her to like it because the price I was paying, it was to last forever and it would eventually be her's, lol....Now, I'm looking for side chairs..Remember Montgomery Ward? I had gotten a pair of swivel/rockers from them and loved them but darn, can't find anything now....Did you say, your DH even went with you??? That's 1 thing, Jim would never do...He'd say, you like it, you get it.....Hope you can make your decisions soon.....How is your weather down there? Hopefully, it's nicer than our's......Hope your day is good.....

Guess I'd better get hopping....I have the locksmith doing the doors and he needs to know which door is next.....Hopefully, this will bring some peace of mind and get a good night's sleep.....And hopefully, this afternoon, I can visit my sewing machine.....I know, it's feeling neglected.....

As for dinner, I'm going to make some veggie/beef soup....This weather has put me in the mood for soup..(I was going to say good soup but mine is usually hit or miss, lol)....

Happy eating.............

Good morning, I know I have been MIA but got all the healthcare stuff taken care of . Medicare has approved the new infusion and the 16th is day one. It will take 4 to 6 hours to infuse and then in two weeks another 4 to 6 hrs. But after that I won't need to do it again hopefully for 4 - 6 months. Now to figure out what I will do for that long period of time. Can't do hand work....darn. So I guess it will be book, puzzles on my IPad, books on tape.

I have Tortillini soup in the crockpot for dinner tonight. Was on Facebook yesterday and a friend said it was really good. So that will be on our table tonight. I love soup. After my dad died, my mom and I ate a lot of soup for dinner. She made the best soup. Brings back such loving memories. Hmm maybe that is why I love soup. Lol besides there is a 30 percent chance of rain today. We don't get much rain here in AZ so everyone here looks forward to a day of rain. To me....it is like a snow day back in Michigsn where Ken and I grew up

Mary, I am praying for strength and peace for you and your family. I know how hard this is on you, even though you try to hide it. Wish I could hug you and let you know how much you are loved.

Irish, hopefully those locks will insure that you will get a good nights sleep. You are having soup also..yea!!! Must be the weather.lol

Well I am off to shower and get this day started.

Good afternoon! Speaking of the Hooligans going to visit Ava... it's time to go when I sign off here... We are cooler today... only 63 after a cool front blew in last night with a splatter of rain (only a trace). I guess it is November after all.

Irish--DH went to get a sofa, and I was kind of a sideline. Funny! He wanted his comfort. I wanted my style. We compromised. It was the first furniture we had purchased--everything else is cast-offs and things we picked up after the fire. I can't find anything I really like, either. I hope the new locks are successful for you We had the same problem with MIL when she was with us.

Carole--so glad you are getting your infusions! Seems like the insurance companies like collecting our premiums, but they don't like to pay out our benefits. I'm a soup person, too. I like tortellini, too. As Tommy Lasorda said, "All my favorite foods end in vowels." I'm there--tortellini, manicotti, chili, taco, tostada, spaghetti, salami... you get the idea...

I want to do some housework today... or maybe tomorrow. Sewing calls! Gotta have priorities.

I took some fabric in to Mom yesterday. She is working on a throw for my aunt, and I'll be quilting it when she finishes piecing. She's so funny. She called and wanted me to drop everything and bring it to her. I needed to go to the store, so I went to town and didn't get much sewing time. Mom will be 98 tomorrow!

Dinner tonight... asparagus, potato, salad, and... pink crustaceans from Florida. Sorry, Mary!!!

Enjoy!

Hello everyone,Been quite a day here like the wk has been.

DDS give me a headache with his news.I had 3 choices.Get it pulled.Root canal or take off old crown,Clean under it & get new crown.I didn't want any but choose new crown.Chang Chang for his pocketbook.

Mary you are being treated nice by those meals. So glad they are helping you.On the sofa it's a regular size.No sleeper.Color is persimmon.Rust Color.zthought it would brighten up our room.I loved the old sofa but DH does need it to lay on downstairs. We used to be in Furniture business so it's hard to go & buy.

Irish DH does always go if it is purchasing furniture, guess because he was in it for so long.Think he enjoys talking to salesmen. And yes it was a man.Woman started off & just walked away & never returned. She lost a sale. Not the way to handle sales.I used to sale too in our store.

Jana Prayers for Stu that he does well with surgery.Know your anxious to see him

Chickie Happy Birthday to Mom.Glad she's still able to sew,

Carole Sure hope the infusion works for you.

We have burgers, baked sweet potato,Green peas,Apple fritters for after.DS & dGS Have eat with us all wk.Sure love having them....Becca
