When you looked at photo what did you think even before reading the verse? Thanksgiving?

Yup, can you believe we are entering tomorrow into a new month as we leave behind October.

Are you ready to be thankful? It will be our focus all month. Start making a list of all the things you are thankful for. Each morning add to that list. Let us see how much you are truly thankful for. Go now get your paper and put it near your computer. Get ready each morning to add to the list.

May God bless you today and fill you just like this cornucopia--until you overflow with blessings.

Hugs Prayers and God Bless
Izzy

I actually read the verse then look at the picture, I am odd that way.

Funny, I bought a book at a sale that is titled 15,000 reasons to be happy. It could also be 15,000 reasons to be thankful. being thankful is being happy.

When my screen popped up on this thread, I saw "The Lord has done great things for us". Perfect words for the day. I did recognize the cornucopia in the background and thanked God immediately. It always makes me think of thanksgiving. I had to scroll down to see the rest.

But I am grateful for all the great things the Lord has done in our lives. Rod actually woke up smiling this am instead of being so achy and grumpy today. Hopped out of bed and walked to the bathroom without a lot of groaning and moaning. His surgery on his back was 2 wks ago and this is the 1st day for smiling so early in am. Thank you Lord. The past 2 wks have been hectic but healing is improving day by day.

He had a dr apptmt this am but they called and cancelled. Dr out of town for something. Would like to get zip bandage off back but we will wait. He is walking around house now without aid of walker. Phy Therapist that comes doesn't want him walking outside without it in case he loses his balance. I can see so much improvement.

So thankful for all the prayers and encouraging words from all the folks on QIAD. WE know how prayers touch our lives and thru you all, God answers those prayers.

And Rod just reminded me that in 9 days we will celebrate 52 yrs of marriage. Now that is something to be thankful for, a miracle in itself.

God bless you all, and thank you Izzy for your daily devotions. They inspire me always and keep me going. Words for thought, direct from the Bible.

Thank you everyone else who reply to this too. My mini bible study for the day.

Hugs, Shirley Mae (and Rod and a meowing cat that needs attention)

I love being thankful! I gave a talk once at a Thanksgiving Devotional, i titled my talk, An Attitude of Gratitude.

We have been teaching Ethan to say his prayers and he does a great job, and we are now encouragihg him to add one more thing he is thankful for.

I have a you tube video song for you. Its called A Child's Prayer. Our primary children love to sing this song. It was their Sacrament Meeting program yesterday and they were wonderful.
