Good Morning!

We have had some beautiful days over the weekend, but I think tonite it will all be coming to an end. The rain is coming back. I know some of you would cheer, and I don't diss rain, however, these sunny days have been sweet!

CAROLE with an E - You really did have a week! I'm so sorry about the infusion reaction. No chance you can start over again with drugs you used years ago? How awful about your neighbor! I do hope it's all from natural causes. But how sad that they missed out on friendship with the rest of the neighbors! And good for your brave watchdog! That bobcat could have done him some damage is it had taken a mind to do it.

BECCA - how much longer until the eye patch comes off and you can sew again? As for yard work, I do less and less each year. at some point, we'll have to start hiring it done or move. I bought this place over 30 years ago and I'm kind of attached to it so I'm not ready to contemplate moving yet. But I know one day it will happen.

CAROL without an E - Hope you enjoyed your 'waltz' and your casserole. I'm suspecting that is your 'go-to' recipe!

IRISH - glad the flooding is passing you by but I'm sure you still got your share of rain. I'm so sorry your Jim had some bad days. I can't imagine what that must be like for you. I wonder if he would recognize his 'wife' in a photo - and then hold that photo to your face if he would realize it's you. At least for the moment.

TINA - well - did you sort out your crazy brain yesterday? What did you end up doing? I hope you got to spend the entire day alone in your sewing room - or your bathtub - whichever floats your boat. (but may I suggest if you want to float boats, you go with the tub. ;o} )

CHICKIE - marked you absent! I hope you weren't out fishing!

Yesterday I started tracing the parts and pieces of my Flo Flo cat wallhanging. After 4 hours I was only half done! Wow, the detail in this project is overwhelming! I plan to get the rest traced and maybe even some pieces fused today. Cutting them out will take days, I think. It will be evening TV work. Lots of jagged pieces, which are the cat's fur, grasses, and daisies. But it's keeping me off the streets and out of the bars! lol!

My nephew finally arrived last night. He is now doing the heavy lifting at my brother's. And if Hospice would ever show up maybe they will bring that Hoyer lift they said they would provide. It's been a long 5 days. Disappointing that the nurse not only didn't show when promised but he/she didn't even call. Maybe we'll get things on track with them today.

Meatloaf last night was only sew-sew. I just can't make meatloaf! But the rest of it will go nicely into some spaghetti sauce for tonite. Add a salad and no bread and we'll be set!

Bon appetit`!

Good morning Mary, looks like for now it is you and I. Sleepy heads will roll in later. Should know tomorrow what the cause of death was. Seems like she had laryngitis and so was texting with her husband who at his mother's. He didn't hear from her since Tuesday, but never called a neighbor to check on her. Dr. Says she has been dead for at least 4 days. So sad. Anyone here would have gone over there to help her. She was in her early 60's.

No chance of going back on past infusions. But hoping this new one will do the trick. Still waiting for approval from Medicare.

Today we will be having pork chops, potatoes, and a veggie.

Luke is all muscle and I guess the Bob cat wasn't going to take him on. I am eternally grateful for that. I check the yard before I let him out these days. He is normally such a mush, still can't get over that he chased the cat out of here.

It was suppose to rain today, but the sun is out and it is beautiful out. I am working on Christmas table runners for Christmas gifts so that is what I will be working on today.
Sounds like your sister is going to get one beautiful wall hanging. You are such a talent.

Well I am off. Hope our table fills up soon.

Hugs,

Carole with an e

Good morning!

Mary - saw the tail end of the game last night - oh my, couldn't get any stranger finish! Hope that hospice eill get on track.

Carole - my DH was delivering newspapers early one morning as a youth and tripped over a bobcat sleeping on the sidewalk. Startled both of them and the bobcat looked and the ran off.

My little Gracie is singing up a storm this morning. I have taught her Incy Wincy Spider with all the actions. She now does it by herself. She also sings the farmer in the dell. She is now 21 months and just learning new words.

Ethan is at preschool this morning and then later is his piano lesson. He has been a little angel. Although in the middle of the night, he moans and makes all kind of noises. His way of telling me, he is cold and uncovered.

Last night we atecat Matt's for dinner, Crenda made egg rolls and fried rice. She also fid cream cheese stuffed wontons. Yum!

Tonight will be tortilla soup. It's cold, gray and raining here, so soup will be appreciated.

Time to scoot,
Enjoy,
Jana

Hello everyone.Been a busy day here.Went to early voting. Then my flu shot & allergy shots. Was coming back by Dollar General whenDGD texted to ask if we were home for a visit. We hurried home. This was Sawyer,Tallulah & little Wren now 6 wks old. What a fun time .They just left.Wren slept most of time in my arms,so sweet.Nothing like a sweet baby.Tallulah told her Mother she wanted Grama to hold her.So I did.Think a hint of jealousy was there.

Today My Mother would be 103 Years old.Still miss her & think so often how much wisdom she had.She was a wonderful Mother.Raised 4 & lost 2 children. One at age 12 & my Baby sister at 6 months. This happened in 3 months time.I was 5 at the time.

Carole We too have had bobcats go thru but they just walk thru & never stop.Sad about the neighbor. But if they preferred no social life it couldn't be helped.Hope no foul play is involved. That was young.

Maryz That must be a bugger of a wall hanging.I would crack on that although I have done some very tedious handwork. But sure couldn't Now.Will be glad to get back into it.My eyes have been bothering me for quite a while before the surgery.
On the patch it's now just at nite but it is a pain.I am getting more used to it.I have 2 more wks to go or 3 . If I feel the need I will wear it.Better safe than sorry.
Sure glad your nephew arrived.Hope the Hospice gets their act tog.

Jana Your little Ethan sounds like a jewel. He reminds me so much of our DGS that is now a Pastor.

Irish Your Jim sounds so much like my DMIL.One time I had My DH stand next to me to see if she could know who I was.She told me I looked just like Becca,She never did understand who I was.Its really sad as you know ?But you have such a great attitude.
I always try to be that way with DH,His pain has gotten so bad now that we don't know what the next step may be.It is totally out of hand .And it affects his mind as well as the painmeds.

Sweet DGD brought us chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies,& Chex mix with popcorn drizzled with caramel. She is something else.Had 20 people from their church group over last nite for a party. And she did all the cooking. She is amazing.

It will be sweet sour chicken over rice. All the goodies. Becca

I think the weekend just vanished on me… we were super busy with our Florida hunters… they don’t stay with us, but they are in and out a lot. I really enjoyed the 13-year-old son who came for the weekend with his dad. They had a great time, and the son got his deer on Sunday evening. They left out at 4:00 a.m. today.

Mary—the chlorine cloud was at the top of the state—Atchison. It’s up near Nebraska north of Kansas City.

I’m so sorry to hear that the hospice company isn’t a good experience so far. Ours was just amazing. Keep calling or get another company.

DH remarked that I was always “sewing”. I asked him if he minded. He didn’t. I told him it kept me off the streets and out of the stores. He did point out that I can visit the online stores… Ha, ha!!!

Oh yes! We are enjoying the freezer’s bounty!!! Tonight, however, we will be having beef… just to keep me in Mary’s good graces. I’m thawing ground beef and may do a stroganoff type dish. Like Mary, I don’t make meatloaf like my Mom and Grandma used to make… sigh!

Irish—I was hanging out laundry this morning, and an EAGLE flew over the house! I thought of you as I saw that brilliant white head flashing in the morning sun. Oh, so sorry for all Jim’s confusion… MIL used to try to “run away” in her car. She had a key that would let her in but didn’t work the ignition. It’s definitely an experience, and you have to look for the humor to get through those days.

Carole—we have bobcats on the game cam photos from time to time… also coyotes, turkeys, raccoons, possums, as well as deer. Boomer was working over a badger, or at least trying to one day. The other hooligans were also trying to get to it.

Becca—my MIL used to think I was her Aunt Stella. She was always asking me where my husband Homer was. Some days I couldn’t convince her of who I really was and just pretended and went along with her.

The hooligans and I didn’t have to go see Ava today, but will tomorrow. Today we went to see Choc(olate) and Maggie. We go back there this evening. Nothing like doggy granny duty!!! Of course, I don’t mind a bit!!!

This morning I did 2 loads of laundry and hung them out. I need to go bring them in. I also washed all the windows inside and the ones outside on the deck. I can see clearly now, the “fog” is gone…

I think I’ve earned some sewing time… then it’s time to make dinner…
