Galatians 6:3-5King James Version (KJV)
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
MY DH is doing a bible study on Corinthians and he took us to these verses last night to reiterate what Paul was telling Corinth. These verses stuck with me and I just had to share them with you this morning. So often we are always wanting to take credit for things undone or blame others for our misdoings. These verses let us know that we each have our own burden to carry. We are responsible for ourselves and how we are perceived by others. God put us here to serve HIM not ourselves. So think for a moment:
What have you done for JESUS lately?
I hope these verses stir you as they did me last night.
God Bless
Izzy

Izzy These are great verses to ponder on.We are all called to be a servant to others. Therefore we cannot think too highly of ourselves. We must help others along our path.Whoever God places in our lives.God bless & thanks for this. Becca

We also shouldn't ride on the shirt tails of others.
For example. I could say I know everything about ranching because my grandpa had some farm animals. Or, I know everything about the fire department because my dad was a fireman. When really I know nothing about either.
If we have to add a "because" in there then we don't own it and it belongs to someone else.
Be yourself and don't rely on others to make you sound prideful. be prideful in your own actions.
hope that makes sense. I so appreciate you Izzy, thanks.

I found this quote from General Conference, "The only opinion that matters, is what God thinks of us". Another favorite scripture of mine is, "when your are in the service of your fellow beings, you are only in the service of your God". How true.
I love to do many acts of service, especially when i can do them without drawing attention. I don't want the worldly accolades, just the feeling i get of love from my Heavenly Father.
