SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Oct 2nd

Good rainy morning! I think we can turn off our sprinklers for the season now. We've got a rainy week ahead of us and once it starts, it usually keeps up for the season. the season being October to July. haha! There is a reason we are called the Evergreen State.
We took Jim & Terry's dog, Mick, a mini-Aussie, to visit them yesterday in the care facility. Mick knew the minute I drove into the parking lot that they were in there! He went berserk before I even got the car parked. Jumping, whining, crying, barking, more jumping. I could barely get the leash on him. And OMG, when he saw his mom and dad, he just went crazy! He didn't calm down for 15 minutes! Everyone in the entire place was smiling! Dogs are incredible! and just think, lucky CHICKIE has three incredibles!! Imagine the scene if we took all of them to visit!
CHICKIE - so, you are a trend-setter, a leader, a legend in your own time, with your rebel ways. Maybe we should call you "Chickie Yuma". Now let's see if you can get that reference . . .
JANA - well, if we traveled through Utah, and there was snow, we know where we can hole up - for the entire winter if necessary, right? lol! ;o) Actually, we did have to hole up in Laramie once because of weather. Brrrrr . . . Bill watched movie videos, I sewed, and our pipes froze. Now we do most of our winter traveling through California.
CAROL - Christmas cards! Well, especially when you are ordering them, it's not really too early, is it. I saw Christmas trees all lit up at Costco last week. I'm probably the only person on the planet, but I love it!!
dinner tonite? hmmmm..... I never did make that sausage and red beans over rice. So perhaps that will 'do'. Or I might make a skillet scramble. Though my sis should be back by suppertime and she doesn't like onions, and I don't think I can make either of those dishes without onions. Poached eggs on toast? Chicken noodle soup? I guess this morning I need to take stock of what's in the freezer. Maybe there's something amazing in there that I forgot about - like a ready made meat loaf or a turkey breast. But I doubt it.
Did you all catch Delores's recipe for chix tortellini soup that she posted in Oct 1's, sew-in? Looks tempting.
