SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Sept 26th

Good Morning!

We are off to the airport to fetch my sister this morning as soon as we shower. So no time for chit-chat. haha! Get it? CHIT CHAT. Because we're in the Chit Chat section. Well, I thought it was funny!!

I think supper will be BBQ'd pork sandwiches. Going to put pork in crockpot now. Jim's surgery is set for 5pm so who knows when we'll eat. But it can go into fridge if necessary.

Good morning from a pleasant, semi sunny, SW. Pa....This week is more like fall and I guess I need to get used to it...Boy, have I been spoiled with the super temps we had been having......OH well.....

Mary, I've been thinking of you and wondering how you all were doing....Hopefully, the surgery will get Jim back in shape as best they can and prayers for less pain...My heavens, that guy has been through the mill, more than once.....I did see the Hawks had good game...And the jerk was on his knees...I'd love to see him on his knees begging for forgiveness and also begging for a job! Wonder if he enjoys being known as the most "unliked" athlete in the country....(don't like the word hate).....

Becca, also thinking about you and hoping these next couple of days will be good ones...Just remember, when you feeling down, think about those babies and all the snuggles and kisses....

Well, someone in our house decided to get up extra early which means this old broad will be good and tired around noon, lol....But, the uglies are done, including all the laundry, even did some windows....Not sure if Kathy and I are baking today or tomorrow but I'm ready....(AND guess who is in his recliner sleeping)..Have a story that turned out good but could have been terrible...We have a window in our walk in closet in the bedroom and sometime yesterday, Jim took the screen out but didn't close the window...Normally the cats sleep all day but when it got to be about 7:00 last night, I started to wonder and Kelly came down and looked like she was searching for Baby...Well, Baby was no where to be found and then I spotted the open window....This window looks out on the front porch roof and from there you can get up on the main roof and then back down on the back porch roof...Well, here I am outside, shaking the treat jar and calling my baby and starting to panic when I hear this little meow coming from the back porch roof...I ran upstairs and opened that window and she flew in and once again, hasn't left my side....Later he did say, "did I do something wrong?" And there's no explanation as to why he did it...But it had a happy ending, thank goodness......

Not sure about our dinner....If Kathy and DH are here, that means a big dinner and DGS, Dan will also stop down....So either tonight or tomorrow night, we're having swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and veggie........And cookies (if they get baked) for afters..............

Eagle update: The cameras are up and running at the Ft. Myers nest..And the eagle couple have been busy rebuilding their nest, getting it ready for this seasons eaglets.........

Good afternoon! We are beautiful here--72 degrees... perfect! It was actually fairly warm walking to Ava's and back, but it sure beats the 90s. Tomorrow will be 80. Crazy see-saw weather! All the BIG rain forecast went around us both Saturday and yesterday. It was a mile from us on the radar and looked like we would really get a lot of rain as it came toward us. Then... it went north or dissipated or parted around us. So strange! At least we got the cooler weather benefits.

Mary--hoping that all goes well with Jim today. I've been through the bone cancer as a metastases from the original cancer with late DH (also Jim). They put a big stainless rod in late DH's arm when they set it.

Irish--glad your Baby came home safely! I hope the eagles have a successful season!!!

Dinner here... might be baked potato soup using our baked potatoes from Saturday night. Enjoy!

Hello ,
Late here as its been a massage,shots & groceries.Then home to relax.Today was really relaxing & I was in knots.Wonder why? Lol

Maryz Sure hope the day goes as good as possible for Jim.Those treatments play havoc on the body.My DB is suffering from his.Nausa & so weak & other issues.

Irish Wow what a story.I hope you enjoy your time with Kathy & the wedding goes off beautiful.Sure it will & that Irish Blessing will be great.

Chickie Glad you are cooling.We are supposed to tomorrow.Rain is coming.

It was turkey sausage,sweet potato fries.Fresh grapes & I made brownies.
Hope to post tomorrow but after that I will be MIA. For awhile.Everyone eat well.
