SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Sept 23rd

Good Morning!
Today is my half-birthday! Yay for me! I even got a card from my older sister! lol! Filled with newspaper comics she knew I'd like. I don't get the paper any more and she knows I miss the funnies.
Yesterday was 3 hours of visiting with my SIL, and then we had to go to their house to finish up the project and it was 3 hours there! I haven't spent that much time with her in the last 25 years altogether! So happy we have quilting in common! But it was funny - at the end of the day I looked at Bill and his brother (Mike) standing next to each other and they looked like twins, even though Bill looks like their mom and Mike looks like their dad. They just happened to be dressed almost identically in baggy jeans and filthy sweatshirts and bright smiles.
CHICKIE - I bet your quilt is beautiful! And you are gaining proficiency in a new sewing skill! Your beautiful penmanship would make awesome quilting! Have you seen the new Lori Holt Christmas Sew-along? It's free . . . . Chriss posted a link in today's sew-in. I am thinking of doing it, though we'll be gone through the winter and I won't be able to print off the patterns. But maybe when we return end of January I can print them all off at once.
BECCA -we aren't on a time schedule either. However the fur-kids are! If I don't get up by 0500, I'm getting a not-so-gentle paw patting my face and a 35-pound sheltie bouncing on my stomach. But occasionally, they let us sleep in.
CAROL - I made the Pink Lemonade quilt a few years ago. It's a nice pattern. And when my son got married, my new DIL asked me to teach her to quilt. That Christmas, she drew my name and made me a 40" Pink Lemonade wall hanging complete with phalange borders. What colors are you doing yours in? DIL, Emily, used black, yellow, and Irish green.
IRISH - We have friends who live high up on the mesas near Grand Junction, CO. She has had Alzheimer's for about 7 years now. The other day she went for her daily walk and got lost. Even sheriff's deputies were out looking for her before she was found. Now she has a GPS ankle bracelet. I hope you and Jim never have to resort to that, but it is available.
TINA - how are you? How are the parents? Did they close on their property yet?
Last night we ended up with spaghetti and meatballs. We still have sauce left so perhaps chix parm will be on the menu for tonite. I hope something tasty hits your plate, too!
