We are in an election year and I listen to our two candidates with wonder. They spoke on their religious faith once and it was given about 5 min of their whole description of self.
Maybe we should send them this verse. When I describe myself religion takes precedence. I want people to know who I am and what I believe in and where my faith lies.
But in today's world, we are more fearful of offending someone than standing fast in our faith and saying "thus sayeth the LORD".
Will you be that way upon the second coming of our LORD and Savior? Will you stand fast in your faith then or will you again hide from it?
Life is too short to waiver on who created you, who Saved you from your sins, and Heaven and Hell outcomes. This world will not always be your resting place. Decide on who you serve: the world or JESUS; stick to it and proclaim it.
God Bless

Oh my Izzy you are SO RIGHT!
I will not give any personal political view as it only starts a firestorm and in the end doesn't matter.
As I told my sons...God is ultimately in control.
That gives me great comfort in every aspect of my life.
I feel sad to hear all this mumbo jumbo as so many are caught up in an argument that not one of them can ever win.
I am thankful I can just walk away from the discord and be confident that He that IS in control makes everything alright..
God Bless, Sonya

Izzy, you are so right that we need to stand up for what we believe.
There is a huge movement in the courts and the political world to strip away our religious freedoms, in order to give a few their personal privileges. The courts have repeatedly ruled against religious freedom guaranteed in the Constitution. One of our leaders, a former Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme court gave a excellent talk on this subject in a church meeting this last weekend. His counsel wss very wise for all.
I have stood up for what i believe, in the face of very hateful people, when we lived in California and took a stand on our belief of family and marriage between one man and one woman. We had property vandalized just because of what we believe. It was hard, but i will always stand for the right and what the Lord teaches. It is been etched in my heart.

Izzy We must stand up for Jesus because he gave his precious blood that we might have everlasting life.I will always stand for my beliefs. And we know he is in control even though it seems life is out of control.I can do nothing with out his help.Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the World, 1 John 4:4 A- men.
