SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Sept 7th

Good Morning,
Well, one more night with Chili marked off. And only one more to go. He's a good little dog and hardly any trouble at all, but my cats don't like him. They aren't really dog people. We pick Chili's parents up at the airport tomorrow night about 8:30pm. They will stay one more night in our trailer and then will hit the road again, heading south.
Today will be a little bit of sewing, a lot of laundry, and start getting organized for camping. I have to decide about food and clothes, but can't really pack them until Friday since our trailer is 'occupied'. Sat and Sun we have social events that we can't skip so we won't be home. And we leave on Monday.
IRISH - that had to be scary to have lost your indoor cat outdoors! Glad she came back. I wonder if you could tempt Jim with breakfast cookies. They are really cookies but loaded with nutritional food. I think I have a recipe, though there are probably some on-line as well. I didn't realize Piggly Wiggly was the first self-serve grocery. In fact, I never thought about grocery stores ever not being "self-serve" at all!
TINA - your mom's medical schedule reads almost like a social calendar. Those aren't fun procedures she is having. Is she driving herself? You said your dad doesn't drive much. your brother's soup sounds tasty. And so does your sesame chicken strips! How are you feeling?
CHICKIE - I guess if you want to polish floors you're going to have to do them half at a time. On a day that's not 90+ degrees outside so the hooligans can be outside in some comfort. It's all about our pets, isn't it. I say this as my Riley is curled up next to me with her paw on my computer.
BECCA - What's with avocadoes. I assume there is a 'season' where they are better. I just bought some, too, at Costco. They were all green, then ripe one day, and then rotten! That fast! I got distracted and forgot to put them into the fridge like we learned we could do last week.
We had swiss steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and salad last night. I think we'll be having a re-run tonite. Then on to veggie beef soup with the leftover leftovers. And the last of the leftovers will probably go into the freezer to make hash while camping.
How's the supper plan coming along at your house?
