SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Aug 29

Good Morning!
Whew! When it cools off here, it really cools off! We were sweltering in the 90's last week and we'll be having evening fires this week. But today will be purrfect - 75*. Our old trailer is ready for sale. She looks pretty good for being almost old enough to vote! LOL! And the new one - we are down to hanging pictures and installing things like towel hooks, dispenser racks for napkins, tissues, waxed paper, etc. I've found a place for everything but our round tray. We use it a lot while camping. I may have to swap it out for a rectangle one from the house. Bill has already knocked out a blind panel and found empty space to make another cabinet for us! Whoo Hoo! And he's got his eye on another spot that might make a purrfect bookshelf for his book-a-holic wife . .
CHICKIE - I hope you get some rain soon. Odd how it seems to miss you. Are you in a rain shadow? And yes, our guests will get to use our trailer even before we do. We DID have one night in it when bringing it home. But it's easier to change sheets and towels in the new one than to reclean the old one. I think. I wish we had a guest room, but that went away when the long arm arrived. How did that pork tenderloin turn out? It sounded good!
TINA - I think you have a dr appt today - hope he/she can give you some answers and some relief. I don't think you have MY backaches because if you do, then I'm having someone else's! We bought a 3" foam topper for our mattress in the RV and it's made a big difference for me. Doesn't fix existing problems, but I don't wake up stiff and sore anymore. And all the guests who have slept on it rave at how comfortable a night they had. Ask Mary Q!
BECCA - do you get massages often? Does your hubby? It might help him. Mine really helps my back. But massage therapists are like any other health care providers - and that's how I view mine - he keeps me up and mobile. Some aren't as effective as others. I got a good one right from the get-go. I was nervous at first, never having had a massage before. He's young (to me, though he has more grandkids than I do! lol!), rides a Harley, and has a long ponytail. But a kind, gentle, thoughtful heart. He even came to the hospital when my brother had his big surgery last February to sit in the waiting room with us.
JANA - all kinds of things happening in your family! so exciting to watch the new house being built. Is it in your neighborhood? I hope they are able to get in by Christmas. That is so cute - Gracie's, "Happy Happy Happy".
IRISH - please me you didn't fall off that ladder!! I worried all day. But then I'm picturing gutters high in the sky like ours. Perhaps yours aren't so 'airy'?
Today is cleaning up some fall-out stuff like boxes, discarded items, cleaning rags, etc. Then clean the house, do a bit of grocery shopping, and make some appetizers. We are having an impromptu happy hour party. Several friends wanted to come over for a glass of wine so we just told them all to come at the same time. Nothing like a dead line to keep me on task!!
Our dinner will probably be those appetizers - whatever they are.
