SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Aug 23rd

Good morning!
Bill was up early this morning - about 4:30. I think he is anxious to be on the road! We are off to Oregon in another hour or two. We will have time while cruising through Portland to stop at Fabric Depot - Bill's own idea! - and browse through their entire acre of fabric. Though I suppose their quilting fabric is only about 1/8 acre. There is a lounge for hubbies with pool table and big screen TV and they may even let DD (Darling Dog) in there if we ask nice because it will be too hot to leave him in the truck. If not, then the 'men' will stay in truck with A/C on, and nap.
We will be at friends' tonite and as it turns out they are having a gathering at their house with their golf buddies so we are having to pack our party behavior. My brother and SIL finally made a break for it in their motorhome and they called last night from a neat camping spot in the woods where we all like to go boondocking - up in the Cascade Mtns. He sounded pretty good for him. They want to meet us for the one night we'll be out with our new trailer. They are on their way to the Idaho Panhandle to their son's mountain cabin, but are in no hurry. They just want to be away from home for a while.
TINA - is it your back or your allergies/cold that have you still down? glad the family is helping! Bill loves those Onion soup mixes and buys them at Costco so he never runs out. lol! And no, the cats don't get to go with us this time. No trailer for first day and night of the trip! Our 19 y/o grandson, Alec, will be staying with them. He says as long as he has cats and X-box, he'll be happy. He loves cats. And X-box.
BECCA - have you talked to your DB after his first day of treatment? Thinking of him. How nice to have your DGS visit! Which one is this? You have one in WA, and one recently home from the service. How many do you have?
CHICKIE - I'm feeling for your DIL's family today.
JANA - yay for drapes!! I'm laughing at the shoelaces. Here, those shoelaces would probably still be there a year from now! But I know you won't do that.
IRISH & CAROL - I hope you girls are doing OK.
Supper tonite? Not a clue! Probably party appetizers. I know we have oatmeal craisin cookies to add to the menu. Tomorrow night - the same. No clue. Might stop and buy sandwiches to take camping. The only food we'll have is crackers and cheese, chips and hummus, and apples. And granola bars.
I hope your menu is more expanded than ours! And don't wait supper on me tomorrow. I probably won't be here.
