Viking sapphire error....help
Not happy, . my machine keep saying to remove the thread from under plate then hit ok. I clean everything from thread to dust bunnies and still comes up with the same error. I just hope it's not going to cost $$$ to fix it. Glad I have a backup but I love having a machine that thread cut and does all kind of cool stuff. Yes I am spoiled. love my husqvarna sapphire 870. has anyone had this problem ? how did you fix it.

Sorry, I can't help you with your Sapphire as I have a Bernie. But when my oil light went on I cleaned and oiled it but the light wouldn't go out. Finally I took it in and was told I had to reset the computer. Is it possible that you also have to reset yours?

I have a Pfaff. I think maybe they are cousins with the Viking. The same thing happened to me when I first started sewing on it. I did what you did, then called my dealer's service man. He said all you do is hit OK and it clears itself. It usually happens when I use the built-in scissors feature. Hitting OK clears it. Occasionally I have to bring up the bobbin thread manually.
Hope this helps!

Did you take the bobbin case out and clean under it I have a Ruby but it seems the Vikings all are about the same when it comes to bull headiness.

Try unplugging it and then turn on again.
Kinda like rebooting it. Worth a try.

I have a Husqvarna, too. It might be a thread caught in the thread cutter. I clean mine quite often. It is amazing how many dust bunnies grow in there!
Check your manual. There are tips in there for trouble shooting.
Might even try calling your nearest dealer, as sometimes, they can help you over the phone with a tip or a trick.

I have a Viking, too..I agree with Velda..sometimes the thread gets caught in the thread cutter...I clean my often, too.
I also clean the dust away from my sensor that tells me when my bobbin is almost out of thread...Drives me nuts when it doesn't work!...it's my favorite feature...other than the needle stop down...when it does work.,:)
Hope you get it running smoothly..
Sonya.
