Good Morning,
Well, yesterday started out on a downer note - we got word that Warren passed away in his sleep sometime in the morning. We hurried to his assisted living facility to be with his DD and SIL. They were alone there with Warren and pretty distraught. Stayed with them until they left and said our good-byes to our friend. Everyone will miss him, but really I can't be sad for Warren. he had been more than ready to join Lois ever since she died 2 years ago. I can picture their joyous reunion, dancing in sunlight! I couldn't wish for anything more for them.
BECCA - your stir-fry sounds so good to me. I haven't made that for a long time. I think I forgot about it! Going to put it on my idea list that I keep in a drawer.
JANA - sounds like your little helpers need some Tonka trucks and equipment to help level 'their' part of the yard while you work in 'your' part! Happy birthday to your sweetie!
TINA - Bill refuses to Weed'n'Feed our lawn. He says it just grows and then he has to mow it. haha! I can't argue with his logic!
IRISH - I'm chuckling and so is Bill over your "uglies are done early. Lack of sleep makes you weird." comment! When I'm up at night I'm either here or reading. I never do anything constructive. But if I'm angry, ten you can watch the dust fly! I try not to get angry much any more. Stew is another thing I'm going to put on my menu idea list.
CAROL - we are a small group who can say, "I slept in and didn't get up until 5:30." Some would call us crazy. Well, a lot would call us crazy. But I love early morning.
CHICKIE - you are probably busy trying to keep up with Tasha and creating culinary delights to tempt Doyal!
Today we're going to Bill's retiree BBQ so I made a potato salad to take along. I added bacon bits, chopped dill pickle, chopped black olives, and chopped green onions, and just a bit of horseradish for a hint of zip. I hope there's leftovers!
I hope you find zip in your supper!
