SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, aug 2nd

We're going to be cool again today with possible T-storm, but warming up for the rest of the week. But I'm so thankful not to be having temps like many of the rest of you!
I've been working on quilt backings. Most of the afternoon was spent piecing my scraps of Texas fabric together in a sort of crazy quilt fashion. I'm almost halfway finished. I doubt I'll ever need any more Texas fabric so I might as well use it all up now any way I can.
JANA - glad you got you new tablet. My i-pad is getting a bit long in the tooth. I use it mostly to download audio books to listen to in my sewing room, but taking it on long trips in the pick-up, and out to the yard while gardening have been hard on it. It's day will come soon.
IRisH - that must have been so hard when Jim didn't recognize your son. But glad that Terry was there to give you a bit of an emotional rest. Is he still planning to move closer to you when Nick graduates? prayers for your sister! We have friends in CO who also have a dog named Suzie - spelled the same way. And they are also dealing with the same health issues you are with Jim. Only it is the wife who is ill in their case.
TINA - glad you got a bit of "chilly" in your hot days! haha!! Just a bit of New Mexico cooking humor. I pointed it out to you in case you didn't recognize it. ;o) I am anxious to hear how your mom is doing. I looked up 'calabacitas' as it was a new one on me. I was thinking it might be more NM humor. But it's truly a 'thing'! Looks kind of tasty, too.
BECCA - glad your DH's tests are over with. Nice that he could get in earlier. sometimes waiting is the hardest part.
CHICKIE - if we get our thunder this afternoon as predicted, I'll be thinking of your little Boomer! Such a cutie, he is! All of them is!! When is Tasha arriving? do you have a plan yet for activities?
CAROL - what a nice, traditional, homey, American supper you had! Maybe we'll have meatloaf and mashed potatoes soon, too.
Tonite will be that tamale pie finally. With Mexican rice and refried beans on the side. And it will most likely be for two nights. and I might go all crazy and make some cranberry muffins, too, since I found cranberries in the freezer when I cleaned it out the other day.
Bon appetit`!
