On Wed nights and in Sunday School I give my girls a bible verse. This past month we have been working on Romans road because one of my girls has been asking a lot of questions on Salvation. I ask you keep her in your prayers. The one point I can not get her to understand is why its so important to memorize the verses and keep them in your heart. Like all things if you have good in your life there is no room for the bad. If you fill your heart and mind with GODS words there is no room for the bad words and thoughts that the world wants to shove in there.

I know a many a time I have spouted out a verse at someone rather than a negative saying. Funny thing is they took the verse as a cursing because they were lost and had no idea its true meaning.

Take time to memorize a verse each week. The older we get the harder it is to put to memory. But I challenge you. This one is a good one to start with. The trick is say it 7 times in a row, every morning, noon time and night. You will recall it befor you know it. I write it too. That always helps me see it and hear it:)

God Bless and may each of you put Gods word first in your heart!!

I will say a prayer for your student. Please add Marilyn to that prayer as well. The part she is having a hard time understanding is why God doesn't just fix everything wrong with the world.

Thanks Izzy, I may not always comment on these devotions but I do read them.

Yes, memorizing scriptures is a great tool. I have taught my girls that our minds are like a garden and beautiful flowers will grow there, if we keep the weeds out. The weeds are the impure thoughts and worldly actions that pull us away from Christ. Having a scripture or a hymn that we can recite helps us to overcome the weeds and have that beautiful garden.

It is hard for all of us to understand why God doesn't fix everything. But we were put here for a purpose of learning to choose for ourselves the right way to live and love the Lord. He stands at the door and waits for us to ask him in.

Thanks Izzy

Izzy A favorite verse of mine I learned as a child. We need to be diligent to put the right things in our Heart.I have used scripture many times to get me thru trials.

Chris's Mar isn't alone. Many adults struggle with that .Thru reading Gods Word & religious literature I have learned God uses struggles in people's lives to refine them & enable them to help others that are going thru trials. You also become more compassionate.I will pray for Mar & the girl Izzy has.
Blessings to all.....Becca
