The Bible has stood its ground for many years. The King James Version alson known as the Authorized version was written in 1611. It is still one of the most widely used versions today. It is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures. We must be careful as to what we read and who translated it. Each new version is translated by man and will add to it based on what their opinion may be.
One of the comments that always amazes me is that people will state the will not use the KJV because they dont understand the words and will often turn to the NIV or other versions. I am happy they are in a Bible so I dont press the issue. But I will warn each of you to do your own investigating. Lay KJV along side of your NIV or other version; you will be amazed how many verses are left out of your NIV version and there are subscripts at the bottom stating that the author/translator felt these were not true depictations. Reader beware:)
Just know GODS Word has been around for centuries and it stands fast when other words vanish. Keep it in your heart. Memorize it for we know not when it will be taken away from us. Think of the days wehn people did not have their own copy and they would receive one for a short time and memorize the whole books at a time just so they could teach it to their families.
Go now Read the Word of God!
God Bless
Izzy

Thanks Izzy,
I have a Hendricks Bible Parallel. it has the King James plus 3 other translations of the Bible so you can read each verse side by side. It's very interesting.

Yes, the KJV is the most correct and the one the Church uses for us to learn and teach from. There has been documentaries done on the way that the King James version came to be. They are very insightful. Many gave their lives in bringing forth that bible.
There are many out there wanting to change to make it so called easier, but truth is truth and will alawys stand the test of time and never change.
What a blessing we have to be able to have the scriptures in our own homes and hands to learn of what God has done and will do for us, if we but do all that he asks.

Izzy, thank you so much for blessing us with a little devotional and inspirational pic to go with it each day. I always look forward to the words you add and the comments of others too. Sort of like a mini bible study for us each day.
I think of verses like this and others that refer to grass and flowers in the bible, there but a day. I always think of it when I admire my day lilies, the lilies of the bible. They truly only bloom for one day and then they fade. But they bloom in all their glory for God on that one day. We too should be blooming for the Lord so others can see.
I, too, prefer the KJV bible. The more recent ones confuse me since the words I learned as a child just don't add up to the way they are translated in the newer versions. I loved all the thee's and thou's and the excellent English translation. The language is beautiful, and the words are often like a song, a psalm to the Lord.
Thank you everyone for your contributions to our little daily "bible study" with Izzy as our faithful leader. I read every day, just don't take the time to post. I am sure many others do the same. A great way to start our day, with the Lord.
God bless you all today and all your tomorrows. Hugs and Christian Love, Shirley Mae
