Looking at the water and how calm it is in this picture reminds me that if I put God first and foremost in my life that it too can be this calm and under control.
As I found out once again with all the rains we have gotten: WATER is my nemisis:) Oh what distruction and damage it can do. Just a little bit can move mountains. We live on a hill so of course the path of least resistance is down and unfortunately the water takes everything in its path with it. My drive looked like a gorged out riverbed by the next morning after all the rain.
But through it all I give thanks to the LORD because it could have been worse. My house could have been at the bottom of the hill:)
Go and have a great Wed. I Hope you can serve our Lord today.
God Bless
Izzy

Izzy We do have to look at our blessings instead of the turmoil around us.I have learned we have to keep our eyes on Jesus.
Water can be so destructive. As many other things in our lives.Thank you for our daily Bread.....Becca

We sing a song in church-
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done,
Count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
Around here, the blessings are more abundant, especially when I look!

Izzy, Thank you for this daily devotion. Such an inspirational verse and pic. One of my favorite verses. And the water in this pic looks so calm and peaceful. Hopefully everyone's day is as calm as this pic.
Storms in our area too today and flash flood warnings are out. Water, like so many other things, can be helpful or bad depending on the situation. Glad to hear your house is on a hill and still there. God is in control and HE will once again calm those waters. We need to turn to HIM in times of roaring waters in our own lives.
Jana, I love that little song you noted in your post. WE do, indeed, need to count our blessings every day. We have far more than we realize but we forget to look around and find them. Thank you for that reminder. Thanks for your daily comments on this too.
Becca, You too always have inspirational thoughts for us.
All who comment on here make this a mini bible study for our souls. Thank you everyone. Makes my day.
God bless you all today. This devotion means so much everyday. Thanks for this little ministry of yours......it is far reaching and touches so many lives, like my own.
Hugs and prayers for all in need today. Shirley Mae
