Good Morning!
and welcome to Eleanor's and Chriss's birthdays! I hope both have a terrific celebration!
We got home at 10:30 last night. Up at 5:30 this morning. I feel like we've been running and chasing our tail for the past month and still haven't managed to nab it! I am getting tired! This morning we leave for our DD's house in Bremerton - 30-mile drive. Then we all catch the ferry (walk on) to Seattle - 1-hr sailing - and walk a mile to the stadium where we'll meet my son and DIL. After that, we'll reverse the route. It will be an 11-hr day. We had to get a friend to come over to take Scottie out and come back later to feed him his supper. This, two days after I suggested she start a dog-walking business and put up cards at a nearby RV park and charge $20. Stupid me!! lol!! But all she wants is a bottle of wine, she said. This, we can do. ;o)
BECCA - yes, Oly is a bit of a drive - I think it was 52 miles door-to-door. But the drive home seemed a lot longer. So nice your little town has fireworks display. Ours did, too, when I was little, but now we have to drive to Tacoma or Seattle to see them in person. Instead, we watch them on TV.
JANA - what a bummer about the kids' house/framers! Why did the framers leave? Better pay elsewhere? Labor dispute? A shame to leave people hanging like that. I bet from your house you'll get a good view of lots of fireworks going off!
TINA - I agree about the fireworks. My animals were freaked lasts night with people setting off firecrackers. The shelters are full of lost pets in the days after the Fourth. I hope we get home tonite before they get too noisy.
I have no idea what kind of food we'll be having today. The kids got these baseball tickets and say they are in the 'cafe' that is in the stands. I'm not sure what that means. I doubt we'll starve. and if we do, we have leftover casserole to snack on when we get home. and cake. I love white cake.
Happy Fourth Eve!!
