Daily Devotion 6/16

Are you walking on the path with or without the LORD? It will be a treacherous path without and a smooth and secure one with.

I was watching my lil kittens the other day. One decided that it would jump off the edge of the porch to its cat house; well it was all alone so it started to cry. Honeybun the momma went down to lead him back up to the porch safely. She showed him the path that was safe and easy to go to get back up the steps to the porch.

Our LORD is like that. He hears our cries when something goes wrong in our lives and HE rescues us and takes us down a calmer and safer path to a better outcome. I couldn't imagine not having HIM there to guide me.

I need my LORD daily to make it through the fact that I am losing my daddy slowly. His illness is just eating away at his earthly body and I stand there watching him wither down to no more than flesh and bones. MY LORD is my comforter to help me walk this path with compassion and love.

Take time and choose the path of righteousness today. Be with the LORD in reading and prayer. HE needs you and YOU definitely need HIM!!

God Bless

Yes, it is easier to walk the right path. Our Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers with blessings on our heads.

Oh Izzy my heart breaks for you. I so know how you feel only with my papa it is his brain being eaten by the ugliness of dementia.
You are so right about the Lord directing our paths with compassion and love.
I also take great comfort knowing there are those friends who pray for me and my family.

I would not make it without Him guiding me.

Jana, I am comforted knowing God hears my prayers and helps me along my path ultimately to Him.

God Bless, Sonya
