SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 28th

Good Morning,

sorry I missed yesterday. I was working on it and my computer suddenly shut down to load Windows 10, despite my saying NO, NO, NO!!! It did this once before and it really messed up my computer. So Bill removed it - no easy process - but when it left, it took "Word", a few other things, and scrambled my address book. And now it's back. Sigh.

We did eat last night - grilled cheese and salad. Was going to do some soup, but neither of us was that hungry. Yesterday was my son, Mike's, birthday so today we are having them over for BBQ'd burgers. I made a cake and hamburger buns yesterday. This morning I'll put some beans in the oven and make a fruit salad. My DIL is bringing something else, but I don't know what. Probably a fruit salad! lol! Mike doesn't care for potato or pasta salads, so I didn't make either of those.

Today is also my parents' 84th wedding anniversary. I look at the picture I have on my wall of that smiling young couple, ages 19 and 22, and can't believe 84 years have passed. So we'll celebrate them today, too.

Well I am all set up to make strawberry/rhubarb jam this morning. Gotta wash the jars and put in oven to keep warm while the jam cooks on stove. I cleaned out 8 gallon bags of berries out of freezer yesterday and picked and cooked thr rhubarb last night.

supper today will be left overs--gotta clean out fridge now too;0

chickie so glad you all are ok. We got some of the rain last night. more to come today I believe

Going to have chicken breast with noodles & salad.
Yesterday after Drs visits we ate out at Fatz.Was Home about 1 hr & It was all gone.Had grilled chicken salad so don't know what it was.No desire to go there again.DH likes it but now me.But I choose it because he likes it.

Good early afternoon from steamy, purrrrfect, SW. Pa. We are mid 80s and might even go a little higher but it's great and I'm loving every minute of it....

Mary, computers can be so darn frustrating and there are times, mine has almost gone out the window...Thank goodness for the "geeks" in the family that come to my rescue....
I really need the recipe for the hamburger buns, is it in the recipe section?

Not much happening in this household today...The neighbor did come and mow..I was so afraid Jim was going to drag out our mower and start and he just can't do it any more but you know men!I did the front porch yesterday and was thinking of trying the back porch today but back is just a tad stiff...Doesn't hurt if I'm sitting so I might have to "sit and sew" all afternoon, gosh darn, lol......

I talked to Kathy last night and she and DH got tickets for game 3 of the Stanley finals in San Jose..Wouldn't tell me what she spent but felt, she's been watching both teams all year and might never get this chance again, so what the heck, it's only money, lol...So, if you see a pretty red head and a big bald guy rooting for both teams, they belong to me.....

As far as dinner, it might be pizza, provided by Mr. Schwan.....If we had some good buns, I would make burgers on the grill BUT.......
