SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Apr 24, 2016 3:15 am

Good morning!

I'm not sure if we are going to be dry or wet today. I think temps will only be in mid-50's. So it will probably be an inside day. I plan to get the spiders and 'bunnies' on the run. And just where does all this dust come from, anyway???

IRISH - your Jim cracks me up! Greeting you with a plate and fork - and I'm envisioning a checkered napkin tied around his neck, too!

BECCA - your house will be jumping today! Enjoy!

LADY CAROL - I just can't work on more than one quilt at a time. Right now I have two in progress, but all the fabric and blocks for my football quilt are in a pile and set aside. Because I'm all too familiar with that ever-'smallering' circle of work space. Factor in two long-haired cats who just HAVE to be in the middle of everything (they are quilters, too.) and there's hardly any room for me!!

CHICKIE - that little Boomer is a smart cookie! I am laughing even as I type this! Hope to meet him one day! If he's half as cute as Odie and Tink, he'll make his mark on my heart for sure!

Yesterday we finished cleaning the trailer, aka guest cottage. Now it is spotless and ready for Mary Q's visit. Then it took me 4 hours to get 6 packages ready to mail this morning at the P.O. kiosk. There was a LOT of ironing involved. :o(

Today - on to new chores! And new food! I need to ask DH if he's in the mood for anything in particular. If not, his choices are burgers, pasties from the freezer, chicken, chili relleno casserole. Stay tuned . . . .

Good morning from a very sunny but still alittle chilly..But, it's warming up and we're going to have some great weather.....It's going to be a great day.....

Mary, you have Jim figured out, just about right.....He often helps me when I'm baking by standing by the oven as soon as the timer goes off, with plate in hand....And he doesn't gain weight, that's what gets me......I'm expanding as I mix up the stuff.....
Just don't send your spiders or "dust" this way, we have enough...AND where do these things come from???
Well, Nick is all set for the prom...They called last night and after a day of shopping, he's going to be quite the sharp looking dude...The gal is wearing a black gown, he got a dark grey suit and white shirt but might decide to wear a black shirt with a white/grey/black tie and he'll get her white flowers...I told him, red roses, black shirt with a tie with red and black...Oh how I wish we could be down there.....

Lady Carol, I have a problem with having too many things going at one time...I tend to forget the 1st thing or get bored with some and move on to others...Can we say, UFOs????? But, I did finish an afghan last night....My sister will be having a new GGS this summer and I wanted to be ready, lol....There might be a quilt in the works as soon as I find out the color or theme of the bedroom, maybe.....

Chickie, Love the stories about the fur kids...I think maybe Boomer heard how much fun the other 2 were having and he wanted in on the action...I'd say, you really do have them trained very well...

This morning we went to early Mass and then came home...Our friends were going to a later Mass and then had plans so I figured, I'd treat Jim....I made mini omelets (in a muffin pan) and they were so darn good and easy...Almost like the Denver omelet but little...
I didn't do my running yesterday so maybe I can talk Jim into going for a ride later today, hopefully around dinner time, lol....

Tomorrow, bright and early, Jim has to go for his MOHs surgery...He's having 2 places taken care of tomorrow and then in 2 weeks, having another done...I feel so bad that he has to go through this but he's a trouper, takes it all in stride...I'm just very thankful they are able to do something....And I know it will take most of the day, so I'm going to be visiting JoAnn's while he's there...I have a list a mile long...

As for dinner, if I don't get lucky with that "ride and eats", we will have steaks on the grill with fresh mushrooms and maybe I'll make a veggie pack....So, either way, we'll be eating......

In church this morning, the youth choir sang and played and right after Communion, they sang, "Let There Be Peace" and it was wonderful...The whole sermon was about love and this was so appropriate, brought tears.....

Happy eating.........And, Let there be peace..............

Good morning,

Bright and beautiful here today. Tomorrow more rain for the rest of the week.

Church in a little while.

I can't take Michael shopping with me. You would think I only know how to cook one thing, tortilla soup. So that will be dinner tonight and lunches for a couple of days.

Had a huge scare this morning. The was a accident near here with a white minivan, same make and year as Matt's with 2 adults and five kids in the car - so I made a quick phone call, not Matt. But, as they were coming out from the movies, Matt was hit by a car. If you can say gently, for being hit by a car, that is what happened. He is fine. That little voice told him to look and he was able to help deflect the impact. Matt is at church taking care of all the Bishop stuff he does.

Enjoy,
Jana

Hi all, Sorry I've been MIA lately. Dad's prostate cancer is in his spine and ribs, I did text Mary and Chickie......I was kinda in shock or something and they helped me through.
Jana, how scary, glad they are ok.
Irish, Lol I had to laugh, I could just picture Jim with his plate in hand waiting for the goodies. :)
Our back yard is looking better and better :) we'll be letting Lily; Our girl turtle loose next weekend in the pond in the back yard, Hopefully she will like our Chompers, he's a boy LOL.
Tonight I'm making banned food, corn on the cob on the grill and salad, we're fixing to eat in a few.
I'll try to be around more often.
Tina
