supper club -Wednesday April 20

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Apr 20, 2016 4:01 am

Good morning! Still in Yakima but going home tomorrow. My middle brother lives on the route home, about the halfway point, so we will probably stop in and visit him for a cup of coffee . Today is my Riley Kitty's 17th birthday. One more year and she will be old enough to vote. She is sleeping on a cushion right now, just like the princess that she is. Tina, did your dad get any answers yesterday concerning your mom? Irish, can't believe your friend'S House sold in 24 hours! Here, houses are selling for more than they are listed. Well, some houses. Becca, it is really getting warm at your house
! Chickie, can't wait to see a picture of your twin boy quilts. Do you know yet what the names are? Jana, so do you have snow, or 80°? Your weather has been wild too. Glad your DH has Ethan's help in the yard.😄

Our friends are making dinner tonight and I think they are grilling chicken. We have been trading off nights so we each got two nights off of cooking. I think she said she also has sweet potatoes, and salad. I have actually had a little time to sew in my trailer! Much as I love getting away, I also love going home. And I have Mary q's visit to look forward to in a week. And SUE in her DH are coming as well from Bellingham. It will be a party! And all of you are invited!

Mary I sure would love to come to that party! !
Dad didn't say if he got to talk to any Dr's yet, but he didn't get there till in the afternoon and most Dr's do morning rounds and that's it. I'll see what his plans are today.
I'm not sure if we're just having leftover chili meat for Frankie and me our if Kevin will be here tonight and I'll have to add our make something else, I only made a small amount of chili meat so I'll have to play it by ear.

Good afternoon from sunny but not as warm as it had been, SW. Pa...But, we have sun and lots of it!

Mary, so glad to hear from you and although I don't like to admit it, there's no place like home....Of course in the middle of winter, I wish that home was in Florida, lol....Boy, do I wish I could make the party..That's going to be 1 big swinging time and I should be there to keep you all out of trouble, lol...

Tina, hoping and praying your Mom and Dad get some good news...I'm sure you'll be able to come up with something to feed Kevin and I'm sure he won't mind what it is.....My Terry always said, anything he didn't have to cook was great!

Our lunch yesterday was great but we didn't get to see the new house so that will be another time...But, we stopped at a local place, where 2 of the girls had worked (many years ago)...It sure did bring back good memories...Most of us worked in Irwin (a very small town) and we would all meet at this restaurant every day for lunch...In fact, this is how the gal who is buying and selling met her late DH. He worked for the water co. and she was our waitress and the rest was history, so they say....It was sad when the "lunch club" broke up and we all either moved on to other jobs or just quit...But, the 4 of us still meet and are the best of friends....After lunch, I had to have xrays taken and then did some other errands...Boy, was I tired when I got home....Too much fun really takes a lot out of a person, lol....

Today is cleaning bedroom closets, storing winter clothes and pulling out the summer stuff and hoping things fit....

Tonight's dinner might be burgers on the grill and some zucchini fries...I saw a recipe using Shake and Back in the breading and thought I'd give it a try... Need to find a bunch of new recipes for when zucchini season starts.....Not sure if I'll be baking but some good ice cream jumped into my shopping cart yesterday.....

Happy eating..............

Good morning!

I have the purrrfect day here in the Mountain West. No wind, sunny and just the right amount of warmth! Doesn't get any better than this!

We watched trains and had Caesar chicken salads last night. Made a big hint to Michael about some ice cream, but it went over his head like a roof. So today I will go and get some. Dreyer's chocolate chip.

Dinner will be pork chops with sliced tomatoes and broccoli.

Mary - your kitty and my Perry are the same age. Perry's birthday is March 23rd. He is asleep in his new favorite perch - the ironing board that is up in my bedroom. He sleeps almost all the time now. He waits and calls for Ethan each morning - the two of them are best buds!

Enjoy!
Jana
