SUPPER CLUB - Fri, April 8th

Good morning!
Today is Lois's birthday over in the sew-in. And it's also my oldest brother's 55th wedding anniversary - in Alaska. And I believe my younger sister became a great-gramma yesterday. I need to check with her today.
I got lots of yard work done yesterday. I have to say though, I'm ready for a rainy day! But that won't be today. So I'll be back out there again. In my old days I'd get up early and be out by daylight and work until dusk. In my old days I WAS NUTS!! Now, I usually call a halt after 3 to 4 hours. After all, I need to leave a little time to sew something. And I did finish devising a pieced pattern for my Twelfth Man block for my Seahawk quilt - a white '12' on a blue field. And I made a prototype that turned our pretty good. Now to make three more. After that, I'm stopped until I make a trip to Joann's.
CHICKIE - What fun to run into the family at dinner! Those are the best meals! You and your gang of hooligans had some great walks yesterday! They are fun company, aren't they!
BECCA - your baskets for the kids sound like as much fun for you as for them! I remember what it was like when my LDH#2 (Roy) applied for disability. He hated doing it, was only 44, and looked the picture of health, but his heart was failing rapidly. It was a rough day for us both.
IRISH - so sorry that Jim has to go back to the doc. Give him a hug for me! And that is so funny about the eagles!
JANA - so nice of you to make doughnuts for your craving neighbor! When I was pregnant, I had to buy my own. Turns out two doughnuts a day for 9 months wasn't a good idea . . . ;o)
TINA - I hope you and everyone in your world is feeling better today!
CAROLS - good morning!
Now for supper. I'm stalling. Trying to think . . . I could make a bacon/cheddar quiche with salad. Pancakes would be good. Maybe chicken alfredo . . . I will give DH his choices and see what we come up with. He might have some other idea - like taking me out to a restaurant?? Though after a day in the yard, it's more trouble to get cleaned up than it is to cook something!
Hope you have an easier time with your choices!
