Good Morning,
My cold is better. I'm to the junky cough stage. Hate that, but it is a good sign. We still had veggie beef soup at the start of our colds. We had just finished a big pot of chicken noodle soup before we got sick. Last night DH was ready for real food, though smaller than usual portions.
BECCA - today is Saturday! Your family's big day, isn't it?? I'm imagining the hugs now!
IRISH - vivid dreams for your Jim! Our Jim's meds cause him to have similar dreams. He is always being chased. He fell out of bed with one of his dreams and broke his neck two years ago. He was in the hospital for a month. As for dental cleanings, when we started using an electric toothbrush, our cleanings became much less of an ordeal.
JANA - Glad you are warming up. Are your flowers blooming yet? Lucky to be able to score those tickets!
CHICKIE- maybe I better start sending you a text when I see weather coming your way! lol! Hope you had a nice afternoon with your DD.
I'm not sure what our day holds. It's been such beautiful weather this week, but I've slept most of it away. I haven't even been sewing much. But today I might do a little weeding, a little sewing, and a lot of napping. And dinner - Last week I made pasties from leftover swiss steak and froze them. So I think I'll pull a couple of those out of the freezer and toss a salad. If not, there is always grilled cheese and canned tomato soup.

Hello everyone from sunny NC.Getting wind & cooler temps but still nice .70s spoiled us.
Maryz Glad to hear the cold is getting better.Yes he text & said he is 3 hrs away.It is very exciting for everyone. But next wk is the biggie when they all are here & brothers get to see each other that haven't seen each other in 4 yrs.And the grands,2 have never seen their Uncle.
Irish I agree with Mary about the electric tooth brush.i have one & I know it cleans better.Dentist said it did.Do hope Jim doesn't fall again.I would consider the rails. It has been challenging around here this wk as DH just gets worse. He had a mini stroke on Palm Sunday & has been worse ever since. They all do damage.
Jana Enjoy your conference.Your little 3Ethan is a riot.
Chickie Know your afternoon with DD was special.I consider anytime with mine sure is.
Carol Glad you got a break from the kids.Enjoy.
Lady Carol We know you are having a good time with all your fabric shopping.
We have leftovers & I made a chocolate cake.If ur DGS decides to eat here it will all be changed to suit him.. Becca

Good early afternoon from a sunny but chilly (only in the 50s), SW. Pa....As Becca said, we do get spoiled with the warmer weather and then this crap hits me hard, lol....But, you know, as much as I complain, just looking out the window, I have 3 different trees in bloom and everything is coming up, so it's all good.....
Mary, thank goodness you're feeling better...As they say, can't keep a good woman down! I like what you have planned for the day, especially the lots of naps....And when you say, pasties, what exactly are they? I often have left over meat and need to try something different....
Wow, your brother really did take a tumble....I've been thinking of maybe tying Jim to the bed but we don't have any bed posts, lol....Wonder if Velcro would work....Jim often dreams he's being chased and he will try to run...Usually there is a cat or 2 on the bed and they go flying...Jim never, ever fought with anyone always the passive one but now, he's often fighting in his dreams and guess who is usually in the way of a punch..I've learned or maybe sense a movement and know how to duck real quick, lol...I was going to start sleeping in the other room but I think that would be more confusing to him, so I just "roll with the punches", lol.....
Becca, so sorry to hear about your hubby...I know how those strokes can affect a person...My Mom had quite a few and it changed her personality completely...She had been a nurse, traveled all over the world and after her 1st stroke, wouldn't do anything for herself..I think about you often and hope you're taking care of yourself...
But, you have hugs coming, lots of hugs...Isn't it a great feeling to get a text or message saying they are so close? Enjoy every minute....
As I said, today is chilly so that means, no hanging the sheets outside, so I guess I'll have to stay inside and spend time with the vacuum, furniture polish and maybe the sewing machine....
As far as our dinner, it has to be "mustgo" day..There are still a couple of eggs and beets, still a sliver of ham, probably a spoonful of scalloped potatoes and hopefully nothing else in the frig that has turned green....Yesterday on my way home, the car stopped at Arby's (local roast beef place) and I picked up sliders and fries...Well, we weren't impressed with the sliders so that's off our list...There regular roast beef is great so don't know what happened....
Happy eating.........

Good morning,
Mary - that is quite a list, I think naps would be the top of that list!
Becca - sorry to learn of DH's stroke. Prayers and hugs to you.
Irish - glad you have great reflexes! I am great at creating science projects in my refrigerator. If your Arby's is the same as mine, I love their corned beef sliders. Just the right size.
It was such a nice day yesterday, we took a ride and ended up parked with chicken watching trains. Snow and the cold puts a damper on this activity, so now it is nice, we can do it more often. So I still have the chicken defrosted in the refrigerator, so that will be dinner tonight.
Enjoy,
Jana
