SUPPER CLUB - Happy Easter!! March 27th

Good Morning and happy Easter to you all!
I'm nearly ready - have my swiss steak in the crockpot. My key lime pie is thawing. I also decided to make a chocolate cake for some reason. I don't even care for chocolate cake. and I found Texas Pecan Pie Ice Cream in the freezer, so we're good for desserts. I'm going to roast asparagus, too, with sesame oil and toasted seeds. SIL is bringing fruit salad and our friend is bringing potatoes of some kind. For the rolls, I am borrowing Chickie's recipe from the good folks at Rhodes. Honest, they taste just like my mom's homemade and she won blue ribbons with her baking.
LADY CAROL - hello!! You really had an adventure, didn't you! Glad it all turned out Ok for you and all you got was a great campfire story. Hope Sir is feeling a bit better by now. I hope you find your cousin!
IRISH - when I was a pre-teen I read a book set on a pioneer farm in PA and they used the term 'redding up' and I've always remembered that term. Makes me think of buckets of soapy water and scrub brushes and calloused knees. Glad you are enjoying the boys' visit. sounds like a blessed time at your house. The luck you are having with your delivery folks, your UPS 'fellow' could end up being a woman, you know. . . . Ours often is.
CHICKIE - are you ready?? Tell your mom hi for me next time you see her! Today I am making my rolls by just nesting them next to each other in a 9x13 pan so they all have soft sides. That's how my brother likes them. But sometimes I thaw them, roll them into ropes and tie them in knots. Brush them with butter and sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds. They are so good!
BECCA - I hope your DH is soon feeling better. Does he have a fever with those chills? There is a serious flu going around, I hear. My Autumn was down with it for a week. It went through her library and everyone was sick. I hope you got to skype in on the baby shower. That was yesterday, wasn't it?
TINA - I know you are busy, busy, busy at your house with all the family coming and the babies 'helping'. Happy Easter to you and your crew!
CAROL 7 - What is happening at your house today? steaks on the grill?
Well, I already shared our menu. There will be leftovers tomorrow, I'm sure. and swiss steak makes the best veggie soup the day after. So, other than a little tweaking, I'm set for a few more days to come! Wishing you all a blessed Easter!
