Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, we will get home today. I am excited. We are only four or five hours from home - in Astoria, Oregon. My brother Jim, who had surgery six weeks ago, is doing fair. He's not up to much yet but his wife wanted to see grandkids in Vegas for their spring break so off they went in their new motor home - and broke down in eastern OR. They turned around and limped home yesterday. A few hours after we got that call my sister in Colorado called to say she tripped on a curb, fell, and broke her elbow. It was a Bad day for my siblings. I hope it's not catching!

I have a bowl of chili in the freezer so it will thaw as we travel today snd I will reheat it at home. I also have leftover garlic bread to go with. Nice that there will be no need to cook after riding so many hours and then unloading trailer when we get home. Can't wait to see tv again too!!! And my sewing room!!

See you all at home!

Good morning from a very dreary, chilly, SW. Pa...Yep, winter is back, for a day or so and then, hopefully gone for another year....

Oh, so good to see our Mary will be back in her home turf today..But, so sorry to hear about the troubles with the sibs, that's awful! I had to laugh about, Mary can't wait to see tv again..Now I can see anxious to be back in the sewing room but TV????

Today is going to be a "computer" day for me...The kids are competing in Ashville, N.C. and I'll be glued to the screen, rooting them on...Jim just shakes his head, when I leave the desk top, I carry the notebook with me....

Becca, so sorry to hear about your problems...Hoping and praying the doctor is able to get you back on your feet and feeling better real quick....

As I said, I'll be glued to the computer so dinner might be "get it yourself" or a good day for a "mustgo buffet"...If not, there's always Pizza Hut on speed dial......

Happy eating.............

Mary just sent me a picture of a very, very long bridge they had just crossed...Gorgeous picture but scary (for me)...She said, they should be home by lunch time......

Hi Everyone!
Maryz - You must be about home right now, so welcome home!!

Irish - Hope all your kids do well in the competition!

Tonight will definitely be dinner out. DH and I are both trying to save our energy for cleaning, and preparing for Easter Dinner next week. I cleaned the silver this morning and cleaned the oven. The oven is self-cleaning, but had to clean the racks and wipe down the inside.

Welcome home, Mary! Your poor SIL! Breaking down in a new motor home!!! That's just sad. And your other sister... I sure hope it doesn't come in threes... So glad your trip was uneventful for bad stuff!!!

We had dinner last night, but I didn't make it here. I brought home chicken after taking DGD home. The bottom fell out of the thermometer yesterday. She couldn't wait to get to her room and get some leggings after bringing only shorts with her here.

We had FROST this morning and 25-degree temps!!! Peach trees were blooming as well as plum trees and redbuds. Sigh...!

I had lunch with Mom today and then visited with my sister and her DH and saw a bunch of their new glass projects. Their work is beautiful!

Carol--I hear you on the cleaning and getting ready for next weekend. We will have the annual Easter brunch after mass. DH isn't much help, but he does clean up the food--with his fork!!! I need to prepare my grocery list...

I need to think of something to fix for dinner! YIKES!!! I forgot that DH didn't have any leftovers last evening... Gaaaah... I have plenty... oops! Must go find something to thaw quickly...

Good evening

Mary - I'll bet you are home now. So sorry for your sibling troubles. There's nopla e like home!

Irish - I have seen that bridge in Astoria up close and personal. Michael wanted to drive across it - I said no way, it is too spindly and rickety looking. I won! That was about 35 years ago, wonder if I would feel the same today, yup!

Chickie - your temp drop is what's happening here too. We will be 70 tomorrow and snow on Tuesday. Crazy!

Dinner is leftover pizza and green jello. I may make a bowl of soup for me. Ethan is here for his sleepover as he calls it.

Enjoy,
Jana
