Good morning, everybody! It is long lost me! We are not quite home yet. We are still on the Oregon coast but will be home on Saturday. The next two nights we will be a State Park on the Oregon side of the mouth of the Columbia River. Friends from Home are coming down to camp with us and they are bringing corn beef and cabbage. I may be Irish, but it is not my favorite dinner. But that's OK- once a year is fine, especially someone else's cooking! LOL but Friday night I am making spaghetti!
My mom always enjoyed her Irish heritage on st paddys day she would decorate the car with green paper flowers and streamers and she and her aunt disappeared for the day. We never knew where they went or what they did. But they had fun!
When my kids were little our dinner was always green food-barbecued hamburger pie with a Green crust, green mashed potatoes, green peas, green salad, green Kool-Aid, green tablecloth and napkins, and we all wore green. Even their Norwegian dad!
I have missed you all but will be home on Saturday. We have been gone longer than we had anticipated. I am even looking forward to the mountain of laundry I have to do and cleaning this cat hair-lined trailer! LOL
Enjoy this special day, Irish or not! Mary
