SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Feb 2nd

Good Morning!
Happy Groundhog Day! Supposed to be 48* and sunny here today. Let's see if that 'lil guy pops out and sees his shadow.
Yesterday was a very long day. We were at the hospital for 10 hours. Jim's surgery was almost 8 hours but given his general health and the complexity of the operation, the doctor felt that he came through it very well. We all left soon after and his wife and two kids stayed so they could see him after his 3-hour recovery. I'm anxious for an update this morning but thought I'd wait for a bit. I am grateful for all your good thoughts and prayers sent our way!
We still have the crowd at our house and we'll take turns visiting Jim in the hospital. Tomorrow my middle brother, Albert, has a doctor appt to find out just how bad HIS bladder cancer is. He's already been warned that his doctors weren't happy with his test results. So we might be doing this all over again very soon. The flying sibs (sort of sounds like an acrobatic act, doesn't it) are waiting to see if they should change their return tickets.
IRISH - I hope the new med does the job for Jim. And that he adjusts quickly. Thanks for your texts yesterday. That meant a lot!
TINA - poor Jazmyne! How is she feeling today? How is your dad feeling? Dare I ask about your mom? Most important of all - how is TINA feeling today??
JANA - Is your Michael sick, too?? I hope not! What kind of soup did you end up making? How's the baby sewing coming along? How's the BABY coming along?
CHICKIE - are you having a storm? Last I heard, I thought weather was headed someplace in your general direction, but I've forgotten exactly where and with all our company I've missed a lot of the news.
CAROL 7 - I DO remember that CA was getting a lot of rain. Did that include you?
LADY CAROL - how was your weekend? did you survive it?
We still have some leftovers, but I think I might start freezing the the chicken and turkey. I need something new. Burgers on the grill and some french fries sound tasty to me. We still have baked beans, and some yummy, cheesy scalloped potatoes a friend made.
Come on over! We've got plenty!
