SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Jan 26th
Posted: Tue Jan 26, 2016 3:00 am
Good Morning!
We have rain and small animals screaming at each other out in the woods. It's making all the kids edgy. And yesterday, even though it was dry outside, no one wanted outside after breakfast. My neighbor said none of her furkids would go out either. And she saw big glowing eyes in the dark late the night before. So something is passing through - coyote or bear most likely. The kids know, but aren't talking.
CHICKIE - dust mop booties would be a hit!! Everyone has wood floors these days and wouldn't those booties just be purrfect! My SIL taught her dog to "wipe his feet". What that meant was when he came inside, he had a rug near the door he had to stay on for 30 min until his feet dried. I'm trying to picture your three hooligans going for that idea! lol! Scottie would never do that. But he will stand still while we wipe his feet.
JANA - well, it's nice that if your first favorite team didn't make it to the Super Bowl, at least their stadium did!
TINA - good for you!! Let the kids do the stressing! And I'd start telling them every Wednesday you are "taking a day". They'll figure it out eventually! lol!! Hugs to you!! You deserve it!
IRISH - Congratulations on your grand-pip!! I feel like I should knit you some little eaglet thing. I wonder what that would be . . . you took the words right out of all the mouths in my household regarding the traffic jam in the snow on the PA Turnpike. The weatherfolk told everyone what was going to happen and to stay home. So what were all those folks doing out on the highways?! I get that some folks are essential, but not as many as we saw on the news video!
BECCA - I love your little Raggedy Ann. Will she have more outfits or are you sewing more dolls?
We spent 3 hours at the hospital in Tacoma with my DB for his pre-op appt. And even though my SIL seemed hesitant for us to to along at first, they were both grateful later for our emotional support. This surgery will be life-altering and body-changing and there's even the possibility that he won't survive it. We're all getting nervous as it draws closer.
I forgot to take my meatloaf from the freezer before we left so we ended up with just the baked potato and salad. Now it's in the fridge, thawing, and will be on tonite's menu for sure along with mashed potatoes. Tomorrow night we've been invited to friends. Looking forward to that!
Bon appetit`!
