Good Morning!

We have rain and small animals screaming at each other out in the woods. It's making all the kids edgy. And yesterday, even though it was dry outside, no one wanted outside after breakfast. My neighbor said none of her furkids would go out either. And she saw big glowing eyes in the dark late the night before. So something is passing through - coyote or bear most likely. The kids know, but aren't talking.

CHICKIE - dust mop booties would be a hit!! Everyone has wood floors these days and wouldn't those booties just be purrfect! My SIL taught her dog to "wipe his feet". What that meant was when he came inside, he had a rug near the door he had to stay on for 30 min until his feet dried. I'm trying to picture your three hooligans going for that idea! lol! Scottie would never do that. But he will stand still while we wipe his feet.

JANA - well, it's nice that if your first favorite team didn't make it to the Super Bowl, at least their stadium did!

TINA - good for you!! Let the kids do the stressing! And I'd start telling them every Wednesday you are "taking a day". They'll figure it out eventually! lol!! Hugs to you!! You deserve it!

IRISH - Congratulations on your grand-pip!! I feel like I should knit you some little eaglet thing. I wonder what that would be . . . you took the words right out of all the mouths in my household regarding the traffic jam in the snow on the PA Turnpike. The weatherfolk told everyone what was going to happen and to stay home. So what were all those folks doing out on the highways?! I get that some folks are essential, but not as many as we saw on the news video!

BECCA - I love your little Raggedy Ann. Will she have more outfits or are you sewing more dolls?

We spent 3 hours at the hospital in Tacoma with my DB for his pre-op appt. And even though my SIL seemed hesitant for us to to along at first, they were both grateful later for our emotional support. This surgery will be life-altering and body-changing and there's even the possibility that he won't survive it. We're all getting nervous as it draws closer.

I forgot to take my meatloaf from the freezer before we left so we ended up with just the baked potato and salad. Now it's in the fridge, thawing, and will be on tonite's menu for sure along with mashed potatoes. Tomorrow night we've been invited to friends. Looking forward to that!

Bon appetit`!

Good morning!

Sometimes the coyotes are loud and close. Boomer isn’t one to be out then. I think he must have had some nights out on the prairie alone… He doesn’t go out in the middle of the night when Odie and Tinker Bell think they need to make rounds at zero-dark-thirty. I would LOVE for my dogs to wipe their feet, but you are right… hooligans!!! I am able to wipe with a towel occasionally. After the fourth or fifth round of three dogs… the floors just end up muddy! I do TRY!

Becca—those dolls will be so special to the little girls and hopefully to their little girls some day. We have MUD, MUD, MUD! Nothing is paved for at least 2 miles! Of course, I don’t want the dogs on the highway!

Irish—I know you feel like an eagle grandma! I agree about the turnpike and people who should have stayed home. There was a picture in the local paper about a church group that went to D.C. to march in some parade… with the storm on the way!!! I thought they were nuts (reckless endangerment) when I saw the picture, then I wondered if they were in one of the busses that was shown on TV. I don’t think so, but…

Jana—I saw where you ordered the Bloom templates… mine arrived yesterday, and I really want to get started and leave other projects hanging… the story of my life!

Tina—your blocks are beautiful!!! I know it’s difficult to say no to having those cuties, but you need to look out for yourself or they won’t have any babysitting if you collapse! Good luck with getting a day off!!!

Dinner… hummmmm… too early. I do have burger thawing, so the meatloaf sounds real good…

Good early afternoon from dreary, wet, SW. Pa....We've had snow, then rain and ice and now, just dreary! Not exactly sure what's in store for the day, but can't do anything about it, right???

Mary, can't help thinking about your DB and hoping and praying everything goes well..Your family sounds so special...Just remember, miracles.....
And, I do agree, there were some of those people who needed to be out BUT, look how many trucks, do they think they are special? I think it was the trucks that caused the problems in the 1st place....I don't need someone on the news telling me to stay home, common sense seems to work...

Chickie, I think Boomer must be the smart one of the bunch, lol...
Wouldn't catch me going out in the middle of the night...I often think, the fur babies that had been born or spent time outside don't seem to want any part of it now, at least mine don't...They like the good life....And, a couple of those buses in the turnpike mess were loaded with young kids who had gone to Washington for a rally..I'm sure it was a great cause but knowing this storm was brewing, why would you allow your kids to go? But, they did interview some of the kids and they said they learned to be patient....Thank goodness, everyone is home safe and sound.....

Becca, You're really getting excited about this upcoming visit aren't you? I can feel it in your post...

Well, so far today, I've don't nothing but read the paper and have my coffee and the day is 1/2 over...I think another word for retirement, in my case, could be lazy, lol.....But, I am working on that list of what I MIGHT want to do, how's that sound????I just need to stitch the binding on the last 2 St. Paddy's runners and then move on to Easter....

As for dinner, good question...I wish I could find a meat loaf in my freezer but don't think that's going to happen...But, I did find some pork chops and it might be Carol's skillet dinner in the works for tonight.....Sounds like a plan to me...............

Happy eating...............

Eagle Update!
Big day in the eagle world, or at least in the Ft. Myers nest...We have a new "bobble head", hatched this morning and the 2nd egg has a PIP and hopefully, that hatch will go smoothly...Daddy eagle, (M15) is a 1st time dad and is taking his job very seriously...Kind of funny because he wants to be on the nest and Harriet keeps trying to get him to move...Mother Nature is unbelievable......

Good afternoon,

Got busy getting things ready for the funeral at church tomorrow. I am making dinner rolls for the luncheon afterwards, and Michael is getting the paper printed for the program service.

Ethan is here today as well. He is singing me songs that he is making up as he goes.

Dinner - either pizza or take out chicken- we will see.

Tomorrow will be a busy day, the funeral and later in the afternoon will be activity days at tbe church as well.

Enjoy,
Jana
