SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Dec 29th

Not too much left of 2015. What a whirlwind year! Jam packed! almost too packed.
I think today is supposed to be a dry day with maybe even a few peeks of the sun, though only about 40*. Purrfect for working in the wood - which we skipped the last two days. So we'll see what "the Boss" decides to do.
TINA - glad you and all your people survived the holiday and the storms! Who won the game last night? We didn't watch it. Forgot it was on.
JANA - are you describing that new crockpot that is shaped more like a casserole dish? Oblong shape and more shallow than most crockpots? I would like one of those, but then I'd have 4 crockpots - and storage is already an issue.
LADY CAROL - so glad you are back among us! Yes, a while back no one was able to get on the forum for about 3 days. My DH, a former IT supervisor, said that QIAD probably took it down for maintainance and updating. But there could have been a problem. My DH isn't ALWAYS right. (he just thinks he is, and I let him go on thinking just that whenever possible.)
CHICKIE - turkey and noodles sounds delish to me. But Bill just has to leave the house. For some reason the smell of of the simmering carcass makes him sick. Of course, this has left him open to my sister sending him mixes for turkey soup every Christmas! lol!) So now I just get turkey breasts. works well, since we really only like the white meat anyway. And I stretch the broth and make soup that way. Strange boy.
BECCA - I wonder what that one person was thinking, not wanting the road paved. If an opportunity like that came up, I'd jump on it if I lived on a dirt road. Which I kind of do - our driveway is 1/10 mile long. Dusty in summer, muddy in winter.
CAROL - my Riley kitty was 14-1/2 yrs old when Scottie came to town a little over 2 yrs ago. She's surviving and he's learning some lessons about elderly cats! lol! And it only took a few days for Scottie and our young cat, Foxy, to become best buds. They play together all the time.
IRISH - yoo-hoo?? You must still be enjoying family!
Well, our day took a twist yesterday (not unusual!) so once again, we just had salad for supper. We DB and SIL called and wanted us to go to lunch with them and my middle brother who lives 75 miles away in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. so we met at a Denny's halfway between. DH and I split a burger, but it was enough to fill us up through supper-time. Just had a few empty corners to fill come suppertime and a salad did the trick. So I think I'm going to give up trying to plan a menu any more! lol! Tonite - who knows!!
I wonder what will surprise you all tonite?
