SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Dec 4th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Dec 04, 2015 2:53 am

Good Morning!

yay for the weekend! It will be a full one for us - last of our Christmas shopping, groceries, wrapping, mailing, a brunch party, Seahawks, Sunday breakfast with my DB, as well as more mundane things like laundry, vacuuming, and dish-doing. I better have a third cup of coffee!

IRISH - how did things go for you yesterday?

JANA - glad little Karlie is home!

TINA - even your post sounded tired! Holly needs to bow at your feet for all the wonderful things you do for her! She's a lucky girl!

BECCA - you have leftover soup, too? lol! Soup seems to grow, doesn't it!

I think tonite for us will be pork chops, scalloped potatoes, and salad. Maybe some peas, too. I love peas. almost as much as lima beans!

It's a busy time of year. Got time to cook?

Good morning from a sunny but still very chilly, SW. Pa.....Always good to start the day with some sunshine......

Mary, I had to laugh when you were telling us about Bill's new scar...Does it give him special "powers"? My heavens, your weekend sounds so busy, make me tired just thinking about it.....

Well, my day with the "SnD" wasn't too good..You would think being a relative, he would have taken it easy but oh now, I think he told his nurse, "let me at her"!.....But, what I thought would be nothing, lasted 7 hours, with 4 trips back for more cutting and finally an all clear on the frame..12 stitches and a bandage that covers my forehead, I was allowed to come home, with a few warnings...Kind of laughed when he said, I'd be swollen and probably end up with black and blue eyes (which I said, we'd blame on Jim)...I did tell him, his stitches are so perfect, he should be a quilter.....So, darn, my running around for a couple of days has been curtailed and needless to say, I'm not happy but you can bet, I'm going to milk this for all it's worth....

SO my warning, no matter how small the spot might be, have it checked...Mine was so small, most of the time, I didn't even see it but I'll have new wrinkles to prove it was there...

Have decided, if I have to stay home, might as well play in "my room"...After going through odds and ends of Christmas fabric for a friend, I think I'm going to make some pot holders or maybe some ornaments...One of the DGSs asked me to mend his favorite quilt so could work on that also.....I guess I can stay busy if I'm forced to stay home.......

For our dinner, this might be a pizza delivery day..Can't expect me to cook, right???

Happy eating....................

Hi ladies,

I haven't completely disappeared. I stop in and read posts from time to time. I haven't even had much time to quilt. The Christmas present for the oldest son isn't going to be done in time so I'm not sure what I'll do about that. The top is done. That's it.

I got a new job. It doesn't pay well since it's volunteering for a couple of hours teaching third grade Sunday School. It turned out to be a bit more time consuming than I thought. Who knew? It is not the CCD classes I remember. But it's been fun.

I was thinking about pork chops too. I love scalloped potatoes but DH doesn't. We had homemade potato soup leftovers last night. My mother's recipe.

Irish - take care of yourself. Hope you don't have a scar to match Bill's. I wonder how many surgeons sew for relaxation?

Good afternoon,

Dinner is easy and already cooked - leftovers from last night. Michael will have the tortellini soup and I will eat banned. I have my favorite - ist ice cream in the whole world - german chocolate cake from Baskin Robbins - they only have it one month a year - so I get a couple of extra quarts for hiding in the freezer

Prayers for all!
Enjoy,
Jana
