Good RAINY morning!
JANA - look out! This storm is a DOOZY! HEAVY rain, wind all day long, and LOTS of capital letters!! You'll probably be seeing it in a few days. We're in the second day now and counting.
The party last night was nice. Met about 6 other couples and at least half the men know my son-in-law, who is a newly-minted superintendant at the naval shipyard in Bremerton - a huge employer in our area. I liked everyone, there were a few quilters in the group, but one gal named Ann, I especially liked on sight. either she's super sweet to everyone or else she felt a connection, too. She's a professional clown! Went to Ringling Bros clown school and everything! Teaches clowning. Such an interesting gal! And she quilts! Bill says it figures, I would gravitate to the clown in the group!
BECCA - you are right - the neighbor doesn't live next door. It's a rental. I doubt the renters have any idea how dangerous that tree is. A few months ago we had a windstorm, and one of his other trees broke off and crashed down on our property, taking the fence with it. Of course, we ended up cleaning up that mess!
TINA - I hope you are feeling better today. I understand about not going to the doc unless you are a half-goner. My insurance doesn't pay for any sickness at all - only one physical exam per year, the usual labs that go with, and immunizations. Thank goodness I go on Medicare March 1st. Crossing my fingers I stay healthy until then. If your soup is too spicy for you did you try a dollop of Daisy in it? (sour cream)
CHICKIE - your potato soup sounds delish! Even with "yo Mama" in it! Can we have that next time?? puh-leeeze??
IRISH, IRISH!! - Oh I do hope you are improving! I'm going to send you a text later today. My girls and I all had strep 30 years ago and were sick for 2 weeks. 104* temps, throats afire, and just feeling like we were scared we were going to die and afraid we wouldn't. Please be well soon.
Tonite is going to be chicken and rice here, I think. DH is up and has given his approval. We have enough makings for one more salad. And peas. I love peas. Lima beans are my favorite veggie, but DH hates them, so I don't make them too often. So tonite is peas.
Happy eating! (I had to say that for Irish.)
