Good morning!

Today is salsa day! Finally! Got my jars and got them washed. I think I'm ready to go. And I just happened to find two bags of red/orange/yellow/green bell peppers already chopped in my freezer! So I'm ahead of the game already!

JANA - good thing you and your DH like trains because it sounds like your home is the hub and all your family are the busy trains running in and out of your station! I would love that!!

BECCA - I saw some sweet and SIMPLE pot holders in a store the other day. They were gingerbread men. I snapped a quick picture with my phone. I may try to make some.

We had a lot of MIA's yesterday. I hope everyone is just joyfully busy and not sick or anything.

We still never had our meatloaf. I lost it!! I was sure it was in the freezer but it was hiding and didn't come out until I had given up and had a small pork roast halfway thawed. oh well. So tonite will be the last of that pork roast. Maybe I'll dice it, add it to gravy, and serve it over egg noodles. Salad and peas should finish us off. Well, the menu, anyway. Hopefully not US!

have you got a plan for tonite?

Good morning!

Mary - yes, my home is where they all come! We love it - the whole reason I moved here - I didn't want to be a once a year grandma.

Now with Sarah and Crenda having large homes, family dinners are shared there too. Thanksgiving will be at Matt and Crenda's, Christmas at Sarah's, this year. They are happy campers to do it.

Dinner - humm - if it quits snowing, we will head off to gather groceries and I will see what jumps in the basket. If not, I have chicken.

Enjoy!
Jana

Good morning! After going Sunday evening and getting DGD to spend the night and yesterday with me, I took her home to Pittsburg last evening and brought Chinese takeout for our dinner. There are plenty of leftovers. We will have them or the potato soup I never seem to get made. Maybe soup tonight and Chinese tomorrow...

DGD and I had SEW much fun yesterday! We made a cathedral window runner for her mom using the pattern in the new BLOCK magzine. Her mom had seen it and loved it, so... DGD also made a small runner from the leftover charm squares. She pieced them and backed and turned it, then quilted it using the Featherweight machine. I'm so proud of her! She's really getting careful and wanting to do her best with her sewing. There were no puckers in her quilting, and her 1/4" seams were purrrrrrfect!

Mary--I hear you are making salsa. I made a couple of batches with the last of the tomatoes here. Sunday I made two batches of jalapeno jam using the peppers that DS3 pulled before the big frost the other evening. I'll fix the rest of the bell peppers for fajitas and dice some for chili, meatloaves, etc. I may not get much sewing done today after all...

Hello everyone, the sun is shining & I am a happy camper.Always makes me feel better.

Chickie Know you had a ball with DGD.I could never get mine or my DD interested. They did come & help me with quilts but never took it up on their own. What great memories for you both.

Maryz Hope you get all your salsa made.Canning is s big job but on a smaller scale not too bad.

Jana My family was like yours until the DGrands started their own lives & families. Now the visits are less frequent but oh so enjoyed when they come.We are having a lot for Thanksgiving this year.Just hoping the fingers get healed.

It is banned food here as our freezer needs restocking on meat.Along with green beans & Cole slaw.I also made cranberry muffins yesterday.....Becca
