SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Oct 10th

Welcome to the Weekend! Any big plans percolating at your house? Our weather is a bit on the "sprinkly" side so yard work is out. (come on, Rain!!) I will probably give this house a good cleaning today. It's been a while since it's seen the business end of a duster. Sunday is breakfast with my brother, Seahawks, and then maybe plant some tulips. I might tackle a block from a sewing challenge my SS sent me - a pattern with paper piecing AND curved sewing! I'm not sure if she loves me or hates me! lol!!
CHICKIE - sorry the frogs got into your sewing room! Could you draw a meander pattern with a frixion pen and then follow it? Or is it pushing all that fabric through the machine that's the problem? I quilt small things like place mats and table runners on my Bernie, but I iron the sandwich first and that helps it glide through. Also, you might try rubbing your machine bed with wax paper. Hey! It helped my DGS's shoot down the slide in the playground. Don't know why it wouldn't work on fabric. . .
JANA - that's right - one possible future GGC is adoption. I knew that. But just let it slip my mind for a bit. Getting easier all the time to do that!
IRISH - another day of carrousing or are you still working on the first day? What a wild woman you are! You make me think of my mom on St. Patrick's Day - she and her aunt would dress up in the wildest, greenest get-ups they could devise, decorate the car in green paper flowers and streamers, and take off for the day, never telling anyone where they went or what they did. But she always came home smiling!
BECCA - your little DGS is a 'corker'! lol! All the best things come from the mouths of babes!
LADY CAROL - the men think they are the ones on vacation, but we women know who is really taking it easy! Enjoy your four days!
CAROL-7 - Glad you were able to join us at the table this morning, Carol! Sure don't have to worry about heating up the kitchen here! We are happy to see highs in the mid-60's. Rain and wind predicted for today, I think.
TINA - I know you're busy either sleeping or snuggling!! How is little Preston doing?
Dinner here will be chicken, leftover creamed potatoes/peas, and salad. Easy Peasy. I might make chicken fingers and bake them in the oven, just to be different. Too wet and windy out there to grill if our morning weather is a harbinger of our suppertime weather.
How are things looking at your house for supper?
