SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Sept 10
Good morning!
I dont' think I ever got here yesterday! the day just got away from me and our Texan friends arrived at noon. We spent the afternoon catching up, had a great turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and then played cards until bedtime. This morning we are off to Seattle to explore all the attractions that we only see when company comes to town. Pike Place Market, space needle, etc. So supper will be either a restaurant or turkey leftovers.
IRISH, I hope you made it home OK. Did you find your way from the airport?
Have to run! Bon Appetit`, y'all!

Good afternoon,
Maryz - enjoy your day out. I have been in the Space Needle. We were taking pictures of Rainer and used a tri-pod. We borrowed it from our BIL. Walked off and left it - noticed a couple of hours later - returned, fully expecting to not find it - it was right where we left it. Honest people in the PNC.
Irish - glad that Reno weather cooperated. It is nice there, but a little barren for me. Happy you had such a good visit with Kathy,
Dinner - humm - I gues I have to cook - meatloaf comes to mind - with all the fixins.
We are dry for the next couple of days, but will get rain from the hurricane that broke up off the coast of California, early next week.
Off to bake some cookies for Ethan, he ran out and at Grandma's, that can be, so he informs me.
Enjoy,
Jana

I love doing the Seattle-area attractions. One of my highlights was the ferry ride and eating "Ocean Treats" and "chips" from street vendors at the docks. Enjoy your time with friends!
Jana--that was something to find the tripod!
Dinner here? Probably steak for DH. My fresh drawer is pretty bare other than apples, tomatoes and watermelons. I think I have celery, so some apple/celery salad. There may be quinoa for me... I really NEED to go shopping... aaak! I'll rummage around and find something...

Good afternoon from a very dreary, chilly, SW. Pa....Boy, this body isn't used to this kind of weather (treatment)....For sure we have Fall like temps and I don't like it....
Mary, your day sounds purrrfect, so much to enjoy....And, we did make it home from the airport but if Jim had said, 1 more thing, he might have been dumped along the road, lol...I really do have to learn to be more patient or tolerant but at 1:30 this morning, I had just about reached the end, lol..But, when we pulled in the garage everything changed...Baby Girl was waiting, actually started crying (which she never does) and hasn't left me alone for a minute..Kelly was happy to see us but nothing like my baby...
But, all is good, the suitcases are emptied, laundry has made it to the basement (waiting), cat/house sitter was just here for a nice visit and now I might have to look for the "kitchen" instructions, but it might take a day or so to figure out that cooking stuff...
Jana, Reno is so different than what we're used to....And even though the temps were so high, it was still good...Just having those blue skies all the time was great.....Hmmm, meat loaf, sure sounds good....And of course Grandma always has to have cookies....
As for dinner, I have a feeling I won't be able to talk Jim into going out so hopefully, something will fall out of the freezer, something very, very easy.....If nothing else, we do have lots of snacks from the last flight...There were only 50 people on board and they kept passing out goodies......
Happy eating......................

I went and bought a bunch of groceries this morning, not sure if we'll be eating at home tonight though because I'm taking Holly for her checkup and her appointment is at 4:15 and it's 1 hour and 20 minute drive, she's usually at the Dr's office for about an hour. About 5 weeks left till Preston arrives
