SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Sept 4th

Good Morning!

I was up at 0430 this morning after a coughing fit. I think I sucked down a dust bunny. Or maybe a spider . . . whatever it was, it got me good and awake!

DGS came and finished all the windows yesterday! Yay! Inside and out! He did some pressure washing and today he's coming back to wash/was the RV with Bill. This boy is golden! Always with a smile on his face and a willingness to do any grunt job we throw at him.

IRISH - sounds like you are living the high life now! Glad to hear you got in some wine-tasting! You know, SE WAshington, some of the best wine country in the world, and it's only about 7 hours from Reno . . . . just sayin' . . . We could turn you into a lush in no time at all!

BECCA - nice to meet your DGS's fiance! Did you like her? Cherry pie sounds like a great idea to me!!

TINA - Bill was on call for jury duty just before we went to Alaska. He also had to call in the evening before to see if his # was to report in the next day. It only lasted for 2 weeks and he never got called. Our friend, Tex, however did get called a few weeks prior and he served on a murder trial. GUILTY!

JANA - happy to hear Stu is happy!! Do you not like fresh tomatoes or do they not like you? Mom loved them, but the acid in them burned the inside of her mouth.

I don't know about supper tonite. In the freezer we have pork chops, hamburger, chicken, pork roast, and pressed burgers. I think burgers would be good, but as always, DH gets the opportunity to reverse my decision. And he probably wouldn't be too happy to be woken up right now and asked what he wants for supper! lol!

I hope you have a better handle on your supper than I do!

Good morning! I think burgers would be good this evening, too. Tomorrow I'll be going to a quilt show and bringing home Chicken... dropping some off to Mom, too, on my way back. We still have oodles of watermelon, so never have to think about a side or dessert for me.

Tonight going to make baked pork chops, sliced tomatoes, and a piece of the raspberry-lemon merangue (?) pie I bought at Meijer's. Wish I lived closer to you FarmChick. I could live on watermelon.

Mary' z That was my Yard boys Fiancé.She was nice.We met our DGSs fiancé at Christmas & we really like her.She is someone easy to know.DH really enjoys his cherry pie.not so for me as I don't like cherries.

Chickie We used to have watermelon all the time when I was growing up.Dad had a big patch.Now we hardly ever get one.I can live on fruits & veggies.

Jana DH loves tomatoes but cannot eat them due to his diverticulitis.

I have chicken breast to grill.Also have fresh beans to cook.DH has his pie.Happy eating to all. Becca

Good Evening All.......Dry.... with a definite touch of autumn in the air......we did have frost a couple of mornings this week.....only September too......

I didn't make it here yesterday......apologies all round.....I don't think I have said that I save a £1 a day.....for "me"money.....well it gives me £364 a year that I can spend on something just for me without feeling guilty.....so...I bought another machine earlier this year....and only just got around to using it....oh dear....did I get carried away...I sewed and sewed.....forgot all about time.....didn't even have to cook.....our F... and Chip van comes on Thursdays.....lucky me.....I have spent such a lot of time cutting Tumblers...plus lots of 2 1/2 squares....so I think I will look into getting a Sizzix or a Baby Go.....anybody else got one? they are expensive.....but are they worth it.....to save time.....

Maryz....lucky....lucky you....to have your DGS able to visit and whizz through the window cleaning....

Chickie.....I saw your Baby Bibs.....they all really beautiful.....that's going to be one smart baby.......

Irish......are you with your friend that has the swimming pool and the sunshine.....or have I got the wrong time of year.....

Good afternoon from warm, sunny, gorgeous Reno.....You know we have sunny skies back in Pa. but I can't get over how blue the sky is out here....
Kathy had to go to work again but will be off for 3 days. This being her 1st week on her big promotion, she thought she'd better be there. Not sure what all is planned for the weekend but do know there will be a trip to Lake Tahoe. The lake was her DH's backyard while growing up so he has a lot to show us.

Mary, you really are getting things done at your house...Those grands do come in handy, don't they? I would love to taste some wine from your area n it wouldn't take too much to turn me into that lush, lol...

Lady Carol, I'm visiting with our daughter in Reno and, no pool, but great back yard.....

Dinner tonight might be some forbidden stuff but you know I have no control...It.'s kind of nice being waited on...
