SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Sept 3rd

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Sep 03, 2015 4:08 am

Good Morning!

We really got a lot done yesterday with the DGS here to help out He washed ALL the windows in house, garage, and shop. Then he washed and vac'd both our vehicles. DH was tuckered after all that and sent him home so he (DH!) could take a nap! lol! But he'll be back this afternoon. I got into the act, too, and got the upstairs all whipped into shape - if you don't count the kitchen floor.

LADY CAROL - sorry it wasn't a Seahawk game you were watching but your show does sound interesting, anyway. Did you learn anything?

BECCA - so happy you are back with us! and what a nice DD to come help while you were down and out. and to make meals ahead to freeze. My DD made us a casserole in 1997 when I had my hysterectomy. She's still crying about having to touch an onion! lol!

JANA - a funny story about Stu's suitcase! But probably not all that unusual for kids. Or husbands. lol! and how is Stu doing? Have you heard anything from him?

CHICKIE - actually, your chicken sounds good to me!

TINA - was it something you ate? Hope today is better. Do you have to go to jury duty this morning?

Yesterday I made homemade pizza for lunch for our slave-worker. (right after I made butterscotch oatmeal cookies for his breaktie). so DH and I were full come suppertime. I guess we'll have our leftover chicken tetrazzini for dinner tonite along with a big salad.

all our local kids/grandkids are coming for brunch Monday morning - the only time everyone could be together. But my DD#1 is vegetarian, won't eat eggs, and is VERY picky about everything else. I try to get vegetarian products for her, but I never seem to get the right brand. Everyone else just gobbles whatever I put on the table. So my head is now in overload trying to decide what to fix. If I can still find them, there will be watermelon, though!

Good morning!

Mary - yes we do hear from Stu each week - on Mondays, when the libraries are open. The boys use the library computers to email home. He is doing very well. Already had a change of companions. The mission does this, sometimes every 6 weeks, but usually longer. He is riding his bike a lot of the time. Especially when they use up the allotted miles on the car. He is loving what he is doing.

Dinner - my baked parmesan bread coated chicken with a salad and a ear of corn. Fresh tomatoes will be on DH's plate. I don't do fresh tomatoes - that is a banned thing for my plate! LOL

Enjoy!
Jana

Mary sounds like your house has been busy! :o) I bet you are loving it :o)
No jury duty for the rest of this week. I call Fridays after 5pm and the recording tells us if there's trials scheduled or not and if so what numbers to report in and what days and times, this has only been the 2nd time that my number came up, I wasn't picked for the jury the 1st time. I call at least 1 week before if I won't be able to go for a Dr's appointment or other commitments and I get excused, they really try to work with everyone and it's only for 4 months, ends Oct 31st. I also let them know about the situation with Mom and with Holly being pregnant and they say no problem if I can't call the week before, just to let them know ASAP.
Well my cube steaks didn't happen, I had changed my mind to burgers on the grill and we had a storm hit so we had philly steak and salad for supper, tonight hopefully those cube steaks and salad.
Jana, no tomatoes? I love fresh Roma tomatoes! :o)

Hello everyone, nice & sunny here.Wishing Fall will cool us down but not yet.Still hitting 80s .

Had to run to town for shots & groceries. That did me in.
Mary'z what a treat to have DGS to help.We sure miss ours.We had the young man come mow last week.He is good to help.Brought his fiancé with him for us to meet.

Jana Glad Stu is doing so well.Always good to hear.

Tina that jury duty can be a pain.I have served on Regular & grand jury everywhere we lived. And my name is always chosen.I can now get off for age.One plus to getting old.

Well as Irish says my car veered into pizza place this noon time.I added salad.DH requested cherry pie so I found one for him.Sure not up to baking one.Neighbor bought us cake but he ate all that.lol. Becca

Good morning from warm sunny wonderful Reno. We got here yesterday afternoon and it's been purrrrfect. I'm using a tablet so hopefully this will work...I am going to try to go back and catch up.
Kathy had to go work so DH is making breakfast. He even went out and dug up some potatoes..Not sure what else is planned for today but I'll be satisfied to sit in the back yard with a book.
Last night was wine tasting and after a long flight and a few "sips" of wine, boy that bed felt good.
Mary, I did get your text but, let,s just say, any response back would not have made sense. But, I keep telling everyone,1 of these trips will be to Gig Harbor!
For our dinner, who knows...I just know, I'm not cooking....And now, breakfast is on the table......Really could get used to this.....
Happy eating
