SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Aug 29th
it's pouring rain here and feels like October. And I almost wrote October for the date!
JANA - our chicken morphed into tacos last night! And we asked another couple over for a spur of the moment dinner and they brought along homemade chili rellenos (though not as good as Tina's!). We added rice and beans and had a Mexican feast.
LADY CAROL - some day I'm going to have to get me one of those jammie doughnuts! They sound delish!
IRISH - yesterday turned out dry, so I got in a few hours in the yard after all - but not before I got some cat-work done! I'm glad your son will be up a bit more often. Just to visit if nothing else.
Tonite, we will be having some yummy Mexican leftovers. We have enough that we need more company to help eat them! Who's game??
Let the feast begin!

Good afternoon from warm, sunny, summerlike, SW. Pa...Yep, it's back and I'm lovin it!
Mary, at least you did get some kitty work done, that's the most important "job"....And, if this was next week at this time, I'd be in the "almost near neighborhood" and would really take you up on you dinner invitation....Wonder if I can talk Kathy into making chili rellenos...I think she said, she's made them or Tim grows them in the garden....Kathy also said, she picked close to 100 tomatoes and needed someone to help eat them.....
Lady Carol, I'm with Mary, those jammie doughnuts make my mouth water everytime you mention them.....So glad you're back at the table....
Jim was going to mow the grass but decided those brown spots didn't need it, lol...So, then we started cutting back the lilies, taking apart the water thingie and then storing the bird bath...it's a little early but before we know it, I'll be saying it's too cold for me to be outside....My porch boxes are blooming like crazy, better now than all summer so they will stay for awhile.....
Now, I have to tackle the inside uglies but there's a football game on in a few hours so that call a halt to my uglies...AND then the Pirates are on later so I'll really have a good day (if they win)....
Haven't thought about any packing but Jim shined his shoes, lol...He's now worried about us getting to the airport...If any of you have been to Pgh. you know how terrible it is traveling in or around the city..Getting to the airport, you travel the Parkway and the stretch going towards the airport will be closed...Wondering if I can just wiggle my nose and get us there...But, come h--- or high water, I will be on that plane, headed west!
Our dinner last night was to be left over chicken ala king but we had an errand to run so picked up Pizza on the way home.....So that means, tonight's dinner will be either left over chicken or left over pizza...And I never did make that breaded zucchini and found a couple more hiding in the garden...(I wonder if everyone locks their cars in the church parking lot)...I'd like to say our afters would be a jammie doughnut but probably have to settle for store bought cookies.....
Happy eating...................

Good Evening All......weather fair to middling today.....but.....I think the Autumn is not far behind us now.......
When does it stop getting busy.....maybe.....just maybe.....if I was a tidier person and put "stuff" away as I finished with it.....but that was one thing I was never able to learn.....you have probably guessed there is a bit.....no....a lot....going on in the sewing room.....the trouble is when chaos reins....I know where things are......but after its tidied up and all is in the right place......I cannot find a blooming thing.....however I shall persevere.....I think.......
Today we went out for breakfast.....so....just Cheese on Toast tonight
and I would like to say....Jammy Doughnuts with the coffee.....but have to wait until Tuesday....my Abergavenny day for them.....
Mary and Irish.....stop by any Tuesday.....and they will be waiting for you......
right ......back to you know what.......

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Aug 29th
Good late evening,
Tacos have been shelved. I did a white famous chowder. DH wanted soup. Tomorrow I will have Matt's kids. After the family viewing, there will be a public one, so instead of the kids staying, they are coming to grandma's for dinner. The funeral is Monday morning.
I got my sunflower quilt marked with the scallops. Never done that on a edge before. Glad I have washable blue markers! Took a couple of tries, but finally got it. I will mark my El's Kitchen quilt that way too. They are ready in the queue when I get some money for all the batting I need.
So tomorrow we are having country fried chicken in white gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Hope my picky little ones like that. I have popciscles and ice cream for afters.
Enjoy!
