SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Aug 24th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Aug 24, 2015 3:28 am

Good Morning!

I'm home! What a great feeling! I love traveling, but I love being home even more! Yesterday was filled with much work, emptying and cleaning the trailer, doing laundry, and trying to stuff everything back into the house. I'm about half done with all that. and when I finish, yard work is a must. I'm not sure when I'll get to see my sewing machine as we have friends coming about Sept 1st for a 2-week visit. They've never been here before, so we have to attempt a good impression. So difficult sometimes.

I hope everyone ate well while we were gone. We certainly did! I gained 5 pounds! I'm not sure what supper here will be tonite. Probably grilled porkchips, boiled potatoes and gravy, and sliced tomatoes. the potatoes and tomatoes are from my Sis-I-L's garden.

What's bubbling in your pot tonite?

Mary—I’m glad to see you back! Home, sweet home! There’s no place like HOME! Going is fun, but home is definitely best. I don’t envy you having to do all the cleaning and emptying and replacing… Hard to believe it’s been so dry in the PNW and yet your yard grew like a jungle.

We had pork chops, fried apples and scalloped potatoes as well as tomatoes and watermelon last night. I have enough re-runs for DH, and I’ll think of something for me… tomato salad most likely.

Next Sunday is the big birthday brunch. I’m getting down to crunch time on the prep work and house cleaning.

Happy home coming Mary :-) Wow you sure are busy after your trip! That's how we were and we were only gone 3 days! No elves showed up to do our yard work while we were gone either ;-)
Chickie, your supper from last night sounds delish!
We had burgers and salad last night, I was a tad busy and tired and that was the easiest. I'm not sure yet what will be for supper tonight, I'll have to get back to you on that one :-)

Good morning!

Mary - welcome home! That was a lot of miles to travel! But a good time, I am sure.

Tina - I wish I had yard elves too.

Chickie - big bd brunch - who's?

Dinner tonight will be some ribs, a salad and fresh corn. Sarah still has it coming in at the market. Tons of fresh everything too.

Well I have Ethan, he is out helping Grandpa clear cut the forest - weeds that is, so I need to supervise. I am great at that!

Enjoy,
Jana
