Have been away far too long

I have 11 more weeks in this cast. I am anxy, in pain at night and bored. There is so much I want to do but when I over do I pay for it at night. I miss you all! Can't wait to get the machine started. Please be patient with me. I am lurking. Praying for you all.

11 weeks seems like a longtime when your a quilter. I imagine you are getting lots of sewing done.

Deb, I can understand where you are coming from. For the past 2and half months I have been suffering with severe RA in my right leg. Night time is the worse if you overdo it during the day. So you have my thoughts and prayers. I have just started on a heavy steroid plan and hope this will help me. Start pt on Tuesday, so we will see how that goes. You hang in there and keep lurking knowing we are thinking of you and know you can not Wait for the 11weeks to pass.

Deb, sorry you have 11 weeks in cast. I'm afraid I have been so busy with gkids and wedding that I missed what has happened to put you in the cast. Could you or someone update me, please.

Hope you will be back on track soon. 11 weeks seems long but time will fly. Just come and chat with all of us - come on over to "Sew Ins" we are all there on a daily basis. We will chat and keep up to date with you. That will help the time to pass.

We are all here for you. Hang in there, it will get better.

Deb That is a long time if you have to curtail your activities.Maybe it would help if you did write on here more often if you are up to it.Praying you days will get better soon & things get brighter.Hang in & know we care...Becca

HI Deb, Praying that the pain will lessen and rest will come easier. I, like others, don't recall why you are in a cast. Please refresh our memories for some of us older and more forgetful folks. Regardless of the reason, we are here for you.

Are you able to sew or does that bother you too? My DH was in a boot cast and a wheel chair for almost 5 months back in 2009. He shattered the two long bones in his leg and ankle. Talk about bored and unhappy with the world. But he (and the rest of us too) survived the ordeal. Healing takes time and lots and lots of patience. Praying it passes quickly for you.

I am sorry. It is rough to have a cast on and not be able to do what you love. I broke my leg back in 2002 and like you bored out of my mind. I figured out how to do the wash. I put clothes in a trash bag with the drawstring and drug it behind me. I also got my husband to get me a stool so I could cook and wash dishes. Hang in there.
