Supper Club, Thurs. Aug 13

Post by QuiltGram8 » Thu Aug 13, 2015 12:51 am

Good Morning pals,
I will be bold and start this out this morning. I am always shy about starting this. I am up so early and when I come back afternoon, I am too late.

Today is our day to go dancing. On these nights, we either catch a sandwich on the way, or I fix something quick and simple for the table. Last night, we had Turkey Burgers, so tonight, I guess it will be Brats for DH and All Beef Hot Dog for me. A quick salad and some left over pork n beans and a few potato chips. Won't be many dishes. That will be good.

Hope you all have a great day, today.
Hugs

Good early afternoon from warm, sunny, purrrfect, SW. Pa...This is a great day for sheets hanging on the line and believe me, I do have sheets, lol....All the extra beds have been stripped and getting ready for the next group.....Not sure who all will be staying here but I'll be ready......
Terry and the boys left about 6:30 last evening and I told them I wanted a text every hour...With the car just having major surgery, I needed to know they were ok, not that there was much I could do if they weren't...Finally about 3:00 this morning, Terry texted, they were home and then shortly after he and Stephan were leaving for Ashville...Stephan needed to get moved into his apartment and Terry needed to get back to work...So, I can imagine, they are all very tired but at least they're where they need to be....
I was going to be so strong when it was time for them to leave but darn, those tears just started...After seeing and talking to Jim, Terry said, he's going to try to fly up or try to get up more often....But, our house is empty, quiet and no dishes in the sink, lol.....Even BabyGirl is walking around like she's lost her best friend......But, I had them for 10 days and it was purrrrrfect.....

And as far as dinner, that's a good one! There might be 2 little steaks hidden in the freezer and I can always make a couple baked potatoes..I did make some snickerdoodles for the boys to take home and there might be a couple of them left for afters...One of these days, someone in this household needs to go shopping and it better be before the next tribe arrives, lol.....

Chickie, I will be talking to Mary about the cross stitch stuff or maybe I'll just pack up a box and send it her way....I'm still in awe with the amount of stuff!

Hope your day is a good one.....

Happy eating...........

I do miss Mary and of course am worried about Lady Carol......

Good afternoon! Vel--your "picnic" fare sounds delicious!

Becca--I am clueless every day!

Irish--"Parting is such sweet sorrow..." So glad everyone made it home safely, and I hope you do have more frequent visitors! My house is empty when DGD leaves, and the dogs really miss her, too.

I really wish I could use all your x-stitch supplies... in my BQ (Before Quilting) life I would have jumped on it... oh, but that's when you did it as well... Sherry does x-stitch, too== (Quiltmom).

I think there will be steak for DH tonight.. NY Strip or KC Strip as they call them in our area. There is a small potato to bake, and always... loads of tomatoes. I'll be chowing down on tomatoes mostly with some black beans and avocado. I might put a few steak morsels on top, a little cheese and wrap it in a tortilla... We'll see what happens at dinnertime.

Enjoy!

Good afternoon,

Well I am rested up from the trip yesterday - made quite a haul!

Dinner - I think that I am in the mood for some chicken and dumplings - the fluffy dumplings - just like me! LOL

Irish - what ever Mary may not want - Sarah could put to use - she does counted cross stitch and other embroidery as well. Let me know what you are selling it for.

Enjoy,
Jana

I'm making it here finally.....after we've already eaten LOL oh well. I had salmon and Frankie had a pork chop, we also had green beans and guacamole :-) I made it a little Hot tonight LOL
I'm trying to learn cross stitch and show Jazmyne at the same time LOL truly the blind showing the blind....maybe I should see if there's any YouTube videos? I have a question for you all that do it though.....are the big things easier to do compared to the 3-4 inch ones? The cloth stuff on this little thing is very stiff and I can't figure out how to get it in the hoop like it says.
We're all going to Cruces tomorrow, we're taking Holly for her checkup, she's on the every 2 weeks schedule now, then we're going to visit Mom and Dad, maybe we'll eat supper with them since Holly's appointment is at 3:30. That would be nice to do I think :-)
