Supper club, Aug, 12th, Wed.

Good morning to a cooler, not as sunny, but still very pleasant, SW. Pa....Even last night was a little chilly and had to close the windows.....I don't want summer to end (at least for another 6 months)....

Not sure what's happening today..Terry's car might be finished and then they'll pack up and be on their way...If not, I'm sure we can find something to do....He's been very lucky with being able to use personal days and/or work from up here...But, all good things do have to come to an end, I guess....

Becca, was wondering about the little one's heart surgery...Hoping and praying everything is OK...I'm always amazed at what they can do these days....

I am still going through cross stitch stuff and trying to make room for what I'm going to keep....And then Terry tells me, this was just the tip of the ice berg, there's still more, YIKES!
So, please, if anyone needs 14 count Aida cloth, please let me know...I sent most of the magazines home with Cindy, DDIL, and she's having a blast going through them...Poor Kevin just shook his head when he loaded their car....

As for dinner, boy is that a big ????? If the boys are still here, that means a trip to Aldi or eating out....If it's back to just Jim and I, it could be almost anything....Funny story, I was making chili for last night's dinner and Nick comes along and offers to help...He started using the spices and then got into the frig and said, why not use the left over sloppy joe mix and dumped it in....Boy, was it good...He and I joked about, needing to write down that "recipe".....
Have I mentioned, I'm really, really going to hate to see them leave!

Hello everyone,Another warm sunny day here.August has not been bad at all here.

Irish Little Braydon come Thur the surgery.He was brought to PICU last nit about 8::30.He has been Thur so much in his 2 Yrs.Most has been in a hospital.And so many surgeries.His Heart was not developed at birth.

Irish I know the feeling but oh what fun you have had.And is Kathy coming next? Those DDs are so special.Your DDIL must be bipolar .They compulsive shop & have no need for it.Too bad..

We went to lunch with our neighbors today.They have been begging us all Summer so we went.It is hard for DH to go out .We all ordered Breakfast.They serve it all day.

So no cooking today.I may bake bars or muffins.We need some afters in the house other than store bought.Have a good day.....Becca

Irish—so sorry your boys may be leaving soon. I love how Nick makes chili—my kind of guy! I almost always make chili out of left over spaghetti sauce because DH doesn’t like spaghetti sauce in the first place—always leftovers. He eats chili if I can hide the tomato taste well enough and have lots of meat. I wish I still cross stitched. I didn’t pick it back up in earnest. I do a few embellishments occasionally. MaryZ makes her quilt labels out of Aida with x-stitch. You might talk to her.

Becca—glad Braydon is doing well! He’s quite a little fighter!

Tina—great news your Mom is coming home! Have you decided where they will be or who will be doing most of the care?

As for dinner… I have been absent from the table here… always late getting here, but we have been eating quite well! I made steak fingers with gravy one night, and steak sandwiches and a couple of other things with my family pack of cube (round) steak for the two of us. Mostly I have been eating tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes and salads, but those steak fingers were awesome! Our watermelons have been super, so between tomatoes, cantaloupes and watermelons I am a happy eater!

I really should make DH some dessert, but I haven’t seen my sewing room in ages… I have one last cube steak left with some gravy for him tonight. I’ll be having a salad… He will also have salad… just doesn’t know it yet…

It's 6 pm here and nothing has hit the table yet - out maybe - I hope!

Sarah and I just got home from a huge LQS jaunt. Left at 10 am and just got home. What a haul we made!
