Supper club, Aug, 6th, Thursday...........

Good late morning from another semi sunny but gorgeous day in SW. Pa....It's going to be a good day to find or go on some sort of adventure....Just not sure what that might be but with young fellows in the house, it could be just about anything......I do know, we need to pick up some groceries...AND would you believe, my iron died and I can't live without having an iron..Well, I guess I could but I hate to have my clothes as wrinkled as my body....

I've gotten most of the laundry finished along with minor uglies so now it's time to have fun....I do feel bad for Terry and the boys...They brought their bikes and was looking forward to doing some serious mountain riding but, the rack is on the car that is in the garage...Not fun, just riding up and down the street, lol....Tonight the boys are going to dinner with their aunt and Terry is getting together with a friend from high school...

So for dinner, (Vel, we also call it supper), if Terry decides to eat before meeting his friend, it will be steaks on the grill with some veggies in a pack and not sure what's for afters..........

Irish - dangerous to run out of food with boys around!

Sarah just called, we have a ton of beans in the market, so we are prepping them to freeze tonight. Dinner will be tuna cassarole - I can do it ahead this afternoon. I have plenty of eggs from the grandchickens.

Hello Ladies ,We have had rain & sun this morning with clouds now.I got wet when leaving the Library but got groceries & come Home.Didn't feel up to anything else.

Jana I got a laugh from Grandchickens.My DD calls her DSs dog her Granddog as she has no DGrands.

Irish We have always called it Supper. I was raised in the Country.You mentioned the deers running in front of car.I thought you lived in Town.We have to really be careful.

Today it is hit & miss as I am still not up to par.Sure we will not starve. Becca

My iron never sees anything except quilting-related fabric. It's so nice not to be ironing weekly! I just gained 30 pounds in the last three years--it sure filled out a LOT of wrinkles both in my clothes and on me!!!

Jana--I always made a lot of quiche when I had extra eggs. I'd trade you beans for watermelons and cantaloupes... there is a big pile in the yard ready for picking up.

Becca--I have grand dogs and a great grand dog. They belong to the kids/grandkids with no children. Most of the accident reports in the paper involve cars and deer here year around, not just the rut season any more. They are everywhere.

I wonder if this will post? I couldn't post on the sew-in. Crazy!

Dinner tonight will be leftovers for DH. I'm going to meet my DD with a truckload of watermelons and cantaloupes and tomatoes for their family. We meet at a c-store half-way between our residences. Makes for an easy transfer, and neither of us has to do the full 2 hours' time for the round trip. I'll eat produce when I return.

Tonight I will be making a chicken in a packet dish. It is supposed to be on the grill, but I do it in the oven. It works. It is easy preparation and clean up.
