Supper club, Aug. 4th, Tuesday..............
Good afternoon from another gorgeous, warm, sunny, SW. Pa...Honestly, the weather can't get much better....Although we did have some terrific rain yesterday afternoon and evening, today is super!
Going back and reading yesterday's posts, so happy to see so many at the table...We keep this up, we'll be needing extensions and more chairs.....
Terry's car is being checked at the shop (wants to make sure he got it all back together before driving back to N.C.)...So, with not having his SUV and us not having room for the bikes, they can't go riding so we might have to do some "running" around on our own...Of course the thrift shops are top of the list, not sure what's in between and then the Chinese buffet at the end....
I did spend a few hours going through 2 of the 3 huge Rubbermaid bins full of cross stitch stuff, pattern books and other stuff....Don't like to say it but DIL has a problem with "needing" to buy and then never use and one room in their house that she had deemed her craft room looks like something from the hoarder show..Terry said, she either starts giving it away or he and the boys will take care of it...Already, he figured, he's given away over a $1000. worth of yarn and there's still more...So 3 bins came my way...There's more Aida cloth than I could use in a life time and every color of floss that DMC has, all rolled on those little plastic thingies....AND, not sure why she had them, but there was also about 50 fat quarters, all from JoAnns...It really is a sickness and it's sad, in a way.....So anyone need anything, I probably have it.....
Tina, I had a good laugh about your leftovers...Having Terry and his 2 huge eaters, we have no left overs.....I won't know how to go back and cook for just Jim and I....
Well, the guys are all showered and almost ready to roll...Gonna be a fun afternoon......And will let the Chinese do the cooking...(works for me)
Happy eating.......................

Irish - Glad you are enjoying your visit. When you hear about all the bins of unused stuff makes you want to clean your workrooms and use the stuff you have already. I have been slowly organizing all this year. I put a piece of each of my quilting fabric on a 3" x 5" index card with the amount of fabric and put the cards on a ring I can look at easily.
It has inspired me to use up some of the fabric and get rid of some too!!
Tonight's dinner will be leftover chicken this time with BBQ Sauce, potato salad, green salad and beets. Mostly this is leftovers so it is an easy dinner!! Yeah!!

Good afternoon!
Irish - what fun to get all that stuff! Sarah is my cross stitcher - I gave her all of my books and stuff - she is always got a project or two or three going! Lucky for her - she has the skills to custom frame as well.
Carol - I need to be organized as well!
Dinner - something easy - my activity girls will be here and sewing the batting, top and back together - finally done - working a hour twice a month, they got them all done. Tuna cassarole sounds like something that would taste good. Sarah brought me home fresh green beans yesterday as well.
Enjoy,
Jana

We are great here today… a soft drizzle is coming down and will soak into the gardens. No watering today!
Uh, oh, Irish… you are talking about my stash… it definitely looks like a hoarder… just need more sewing time!!! I always enjoyed cross stitching, then I discovered quilting… I used to do a lot of both of them. I never got back into it after the fire—stuck with just quilting. It’s hard to cook for two people. I just can’t make a meal without leftovers.
Jana—I love tuna casserole! How nice to have a custom framer in the family! I used to do calligraphy for a frame shop in exchange for getting my pieces framed. We were all happy.
Carol—that is organization!!! Wish I could discipline myself for organization, neatness… all those things that drive me crazy…
Tonight is summer fare… BLTs with tomatoes from the garden and watermelon and cantaloupe from the garden. We have extras, come and get them! We texted all the family to come and get… and it is all still sitting in the front yard by the picnic table. Guess they want produce delivery.
