Supper club, Aug, 1st, Sat......

Post by Irishgram » Sat Aug 01, 2015 4:34 am

Good morning from a very sunny, getting more summer like, SW. Pa...It really is gorgeous in this part of the country, I think.....

Today will be the start of a very busy, exciting week for this household....Terry, youngest Ds, and his boys, Nick and Stephan, are coming from N.C. and to say, I just a tad excited, WELLLLL!Been up early, sheets on the line and ready to tackle some inside uglies and then the outside.....Not sure when they'll get here, but I'm more than ready.....

My day, yesterday, was wonderful...A day trip with 3 of your favorite people, sure makes a person happy.....And along with all the driving, eating, gabbing, we found a fabulous quilt shop, one of the nicest I've ever been in...AND they had a RbR pattern...We were gone for 10 hours and it seemed like 2...So much fun and boy did I sleep good last night, lol.....

Mary, so happy to hear things are going fairly well on the trip...I can't imagine going to Alaska, one of those "bucket list" places....

Carol, the other day, you asked how far Jim had to go for his blood work...In a way, it's kind of funny but we only live about 20 miles from the Vets lab...But, with his "problem", he has no concept of time or days and if he knows he has an appointment, that's the main thing on his mind...I normally, just make the appointments and will tell him the night before or even that morning...It's very interesting but we muddle through...And I feel I'm blessed, I still have him....

And so, dinner??? Extra question marks for that one....I have no idea...Depending on what time the fellows get here, it could be fire up the grill or maybe just sandwiches....I just know, I'll need to really load up on food with 3 extra big time eating "men" in the house....(I've already warned Mr. Schwan)...

Hoping your day is going to be as good and blessed as mine.....What's happening in your kitchen today?

Happy eating...............

Almost forgot, at the quilt shop, Cindy bought hockey fabric for another hockey quilt and my sister bought beach theme fabric for bathroom curtains...AND then she said, I could make the curtains for her for her birthday, which is today...Funny, funny, girl!

Good morning Irish & I can feel your excitement .Hope you have a great week with family. Those are special times.
It is another pretty day here also.I just took my walk & it was very peaceful.Walked Thur development & enjoyed the solitude.

Irish When my Mom lived with me she was that way so I would write on paper & put it beside her chair when her appt was coming the next day.Helped a lot.

DH wants grilled chicken, have some veggies leftover. Also made brownies.
Happy eating to all.....Becca

Hi y'all, It was very pleasant early this morning. 75° at 6:30am, but it warmed up quickly. We have been refinishing our hall bathroom. New paint, new vanity top, mirror, and light fixture. I'm glad we are about done. Painting is not my favorite chore. I much prefer picking out fabric and thread. We had grilled burgers with all the sides for supper tonight. Hugs and prayers going out to all, Abita
